I love this place. I always get the honey jasmine milk tea, but I've also tried a few of their fruit teas as well. The honey jasmine is seriously addicting. Staff is always nice and helpful.

This boba place is great for specialty teas, if you are sick of your regular teas check out Westea. The Thai milk tea and Hong Kong Coffee are my favorite drinks here.

My family and I absolutely LOVE Westea! We really enjoy the delicious snacks and drinks. Our favorites are the honey chicken waffle fries, honey milk tea, caramel milk tea, triplet brown, Thai tea and vanilla almond milk shake. We love the fact that it's a dog friendly boba shop and there are non-caffeinated options! Highly recommended! Their dogs are so cute! :)

Delicious array of freshly made teas and snacks. The customer service is terrific and Stacy is just delightful. Thank you Westea!

Was looking to try a new boba place in the area and this caught my eye. Didn't catch that Westea referred to the West Highland White Terrier based on the name, but once you arrive, it's very apparent. Love the aesthetic and how dog (specifically the Westie terrier)-obsessed the place is though! In addition to the decor, the boba was quite good! We ordered a Mr. Brown and Hong Kong Milk Tea. The Mr. Brown was a little sweet for me, but that's to be expected as it is brown sugar. It came with extra small boba balls that were very qq. The Hong Kong Milk Tea was really good! Had that extra coffee flavor, even with their boba balls!

I was excited to try a new boba place in the Pleasanton Area. I will have to go back and try it one more time to try a few different flavors instead of the one i ordered today! I tried the Mango Pineapple Fruit Tea with Lychee Jelly... I usually order my sweetness between 25-50% and still with 50% sweet this was the most bitter tea I've ever tasted. Maybe extra sweetness would help with this. Also, their kitchen was closed by 6pm FYI. Parking was easy... they are located in the building directly facing the Ranch 99.

This place has really decent boba! When Westea first opened, I would have made the drive from San Leandro to this place pretty often since the options in my area were pretty bad. (Also a s***** for cute things like their logo ) One of their most memorable drinks for me was their honey jasmine milk tea. I ordered this quite often years before and I used to get it with regular sweetness. However, I think my taste buds have changed dramatically since then. I ordered 30% sweetness, and the tea itself wasn't sweet, but I think all of the extra sweetness I didn't want came from the boba. TL;DR I think the sweetener from their boba made my drink extra sweet, so I would advise to get a sugar level lower than what you would normally order. I came recently and I finally ran into Hunter (I think)! He seemed pretty tired that day but he is so cute still!!

Cute decor, but the items were just ok. The prices were pricey for the drinks you're getting since each drink with topping costs about $6, and the flavors were forgettable. Classic milk tea: surprisingly their black milk tea tasted like a very muted oolong milk tea to me, so I'm not sure if it was something I was expecting/craved Boba: if you like boba on the firm side, then this is the place for you Thai milk tea: again this was muted in terms of taste and it lacked the creaminess Monster chicken: you can tell that they use chicken breast, but it was lacking in flavor and crisp. I did like the sauce they had which was extremely spicy with a tinge of heat.

This place is OK. I often stop by here when I'm shopping at ranch 99 with my parents. I usually order my usual which is the strawberry lychee fruit tea. My drink is a hit or miss sometimes depending on who makes it. Today for the first time I got the popcorn chicken only because I noticed everyone in front of me was ordering it. So I'm thinking it must be good . So I place my usual drink and popcorn chicken... Drink came out fine . Chicken ehh not so much . First off chicken came out super oily, then as I pick up the first piece ugh it was drenched in so much salt. So I was like um ok maybe it's the first piece, I threw it out, so then I looked inside the box to see if there was a piece with no salt but sadly every single piece of chicken had so much salt. I was very disappointed... I did try to however eat around the salty part or dust it off but it was hard to consume.I definitely will not order the chicken again . Maybe it was a bad batch or they over salt it but ... it was a disappointment for me .

Great boba, great food and they have great dairy free options. If you love thai tea as much as I do but can't do dairy, the soy thai tea with boba is awesome!

My boyfriend and I went here this past weekend. It is located in a nice plaza. We only got one drink--the lychee strawberry mojito with boba. It was pretty sour and the texture of the drink was a bit weird ... a little gooey? We stirred it up often thinking we did not shake it enough, but it didn't fix anything. It's an interesting place. The inside of the shop has some nice quoted frames.

Used to visit this place once ever couple of months for the past couple years. Finally had the time to visit again a couple days ago. Not sure what happened here since the last time I visited, but the drinks were not the same. My sister ordered a black tea topped with ice cream. Somehow the cashier heard 50% sugar when my sister actually said standard for sugar and ice. The tea itself straight up tasted like water! I got the brown sugar milk tea with boba. Boba was good, but the drink itself had some kinda weird aftertaste. Not sure if it was the creamer they used or what, but their drinks have never been like this before. Also ordered the chicken and that wasn't good either... chicken had a mushy texture and the seasoning were clumped in some areas while other pieces had no seasoning at all. Definitely will not be coming back for a while.

*Open for takeout* Came here at the end of January after a local hike. Full transparency: I came here because of the photos I saw on Yelp of the cup with the dog (yes, I am that easily persuaded with food sometimes, haha). I was drawn to the strawberry matcha milk tea as it sounded good. The flavor was okay. The boba was a little tough and I didn't get any matcha in the flavor. It tasted more like strawberry juice. And I was so sad that I didn't get one of the cute cups with the dogs (my fault for coming here for that reason, haha). Would come again to give another flavor a try. Maybe a more standard flavor.
