Excellent wines, beautiful surroundings
Wonderful wines, welcoming people, beautiful grounds.
We have been Cooper Wine Club members for more than 20 years. We have visited many wineries in the U.S. and and in Europe. Cooper still ranks in our top three for consistent quality, value, ambience, and service.
Theie wines u iquitously win top recognition in competitions. Although their Barbera are their signature and prize-winning wine, we find all of their wine exceptional and quite modestly priced.

Our second stop at Cooper Vineyards during the Big Crush event!!! Totally beautiful winery. The ladies inside offering the tasting were lovely, and the wines are really delicious! We enjoyed a picnic lunch out in the front under the trees on the soft, lush grass. It was a really wonderful experience. Bought a bottle of the Barbera to take home and a bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc to drink with our lunch! They even gave us a wine bottle ice pack to keep our bottle chilled. So cool!
We were in town for the weekend on a wine trip with friends and everywhere we went, we heard about Cooper Vineyards. So of course we had to make a visit to their tasting room.
It's a beautiful and large winery with lots of seating inside and outside. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and were seated in their enclosed back patio.
And were told that their wine tasting was complimentary! Wow! Their marsanne white and barbera were excellent.
The wine tasting was fun thanks to our hostess Jane. She kept us entertained. She told us all about their winery and it's production.
Unfortunately this was our 3rd winery of the day and we were pretty wined out so we only ended up buying two of their barberas. We will have to do another trip and come back.
Great winery, great service and delicious wine.
Lovely setting to enjoy some great wines! And Jabe is great!
First visit to Cooper Vineyards on our annual Amador trip. They are tucked away on a side road and we had heard great things about their wines and wanted to give them a try. Neither my wife or I cared for most of the varietals, finding the wines too sweet for our palates. Once we got into the bigger reds, they got better. Staff is very knowledgeable and experienced and were very welcoming. They were relatively busy but we never felt ignored. The setting isn't as nice as the other wineries in the area but that's secondary for us. We will give them another shot next year when we visit with the hope that our palates or the next vintage is a bit more enjoyable. If you like sweet wines, especially in the whites, you'll likely be pleased.
Family run winery with some of the best wine in the region.
Very accommodating to our dogs. Cozy tasting room. Very nice wines.

We measure all other wines by the wines at Cooper. We love the Barbera, the Primitivo, the Grenache and the Grand Viognier.
Plenty of parking, very fun and friendly staff! Nice outdoor space. I don’t like a lot of wines, but I actually really liked 3 of the wines I tasted! I will for sure recommend!
Excellent!! We out of town for our Anniversary, stopped for wine tasting.here. The ladies in the tasting room were great!! Janet was great.. informative..stories of the winery, wines , history etc .
Fantastic tasting experience. Quality wines with a creative wine maker. Known for their Barbera but recognized for much more. Great family run vineyard with great care for their customers. Fantastic space and view of the valley.
Enjoyed a Cool spring day on the partially enclosed patio at Cooper Vineyards. I love how they enclose the patio with a mesh, but you can still see the beautiful views as you taste their wines.I also enjoyed that you get to sit at a table with your friends during the wine tasting rather than standing at a counter. We especially enjoyed their blend and their dessert wine. Our server mentioned that the dessert wine can be used in brownies and they have a recipe online. I currently have a batch in the oven and it smells fabulous.!
