As in the past, excellent 5 star dining. Presentation perfect, portions perfect. Service perfect. A bit noisy. We dined there 4-5 years ago and everything was exactly as we remembered. It's prix fixe and pricy but worth it.

Went here with friends to celebrate a birthday. We ordered drinks and each couple decided on the 5 course prix fix option that had 2 appetizers and 2 entrees with a dessert. We were told that we could not share our meals, and each person would be charged $83. What?!?So half the people didn't eat out of principle. The folks who got the mushroom cigars were terribly disappointed by the single mushroom eggroll cut in half - not a cigar at all. The salad was skimpy, although tasty. The lamb was delicious and sufficiently sized. The fish dish was tiny, as was the shrimp entree. I don't remember what others got. Dessert came without any recognition of a birthday or anything special at all. It was a memorable dinner, but not for good reasons. The next night, we went to Sutter Greek, and that was marvelous.

This place was awesome! We were referred here by an employee at a local winery that we had a tasting at. He recommended making reservations- we were only there for one night so we were worried about not being able to get one. To our luck, we got a last minute reservation! The location is cute, located in a small building on a Main Street. This is a restaurant that only allows either three course or five course meals and you choose from a few options under each category. We opted for the 5 course meal which was I think $93 a person. I would recommend to anyone in the area or visiting close by! It's worth it.

Wow!! Amazing little spot in Plymouth! Every plate that came out was just art. So much thought and creativity put into each dish. We came here for an anniversary & we won't forget it. We hopped into a 515p time slot and chose the 5 course meal. Well worth the money spent. I would do it all again. Staff was very friendly and always attentive. The atmosphere was pretty laid back and relaxed.

We enjoyed two meals at Taste this week, the first attending Acquiesce Winery's pairing dinner on Wednesday and the second Taste's current dinner menu on Thursday. What a great restaurant! This is truly a destination eatery, and considering the destination is Plymouth, CA, that's saying a lot. While there isn't a great deal going on in the town, Rest Boutique Hotel and Taste Restaurant and Wine Bar may anchor other Main Street growth. We were extremely impressed. Also, with its proximity to the Amador wine country, Taste offers a first-class dining experience after a day of tasting. I won't get into the specifics of the pairing menu, as it was curated for this specific event, except to say everything was delicious and complimented the Rhone white wines very well. We were amazed Taste sat roughly 60 people and each course arrived hot, perfectly cooked, and right on time. Service was friendly and efficient. Thursday's dinner menu brought us a Winter Garden Salad with a hummus base, roasted carrots, endive, and cippolini onions. I also had a house-made gnocchi with carrot-top pesto. Both were unique, packed with flavor, and impressively presented. Our mains included Filet Mignon under what I assume was a veal stock reduction along side a potato gratin, and a seafood duo with lobster tail, scallop, asparagus, and arancini. I ended with a duo of creme brûlée (vanilla bean and rum raisin). True to form, my wife opted for the Chocolate Indulgence, which she described as a cross between a gourmet deconstructed HoHo with an element of s'mores. I thought it a perfect meal. We're told by many the bar menu is not to be missed, with several claiming Taste serves the best hamburger ever made. We'll make it a point to return very soon and find out for ourselves! Don't miss this restaurant.

Exceptional quality of food, great service, and very fair prices. Was able to get a reservation same day and my partner and I greatly enjoyed our first dining experience at Taste. Highly highly recommend.

We've tried twice and had thoroughly mediocre meals so probably will not return. How does a chef send out duck confit with wilted wet skin? That's a rule with duck; crispy skin. We make better duck at home. The mains were equally as disappointing. Oh well.

We have eaten at Taste several times over past 5 years or so and I have really tried to like it but I just can't get there. We had dinner there last night and once again I was underwhelmed. The fixed price menu introduced during covid needs to go away. The dining options are tired and the quality of the food just average for a premium price. We upgraded the first course to the crab cake for $9. If there was any crab it was well hidden. Tasted like fried breading with aioli. The filet and potatoes were way over salted. The husband of the couple we were with had the filet and only ate half of it. I'm hoping when the casino get built down the street it will introduce some competition and get Taste to up their game.

I have eaten here twice and the food was amazing both times. Many of the dishes are mushroom-heavy which I love. The burger with bacon jelly should win some kind of award. It is a gem.

Amador County is the best kept secret of California wine country and Taste exemplifies culinary excellence of this off the beaten path locality. Everything about this restaurant was completely on point. It's a set course dinner with a variety of options and of the 7 dishes we tried there was not a single disappointment. Our server Bret was exceptional and obviously cares very much about elevating your dining experience. We had so much fun here trying all the various dishes and can't wait to go back.
