The grounds are lovely. 25 dollar tasting and this weekend (nov 9) they had a food truck offering steak and chicken sandwiches and empandas.
Not a lot I can say more than I have in the past about Turley Wine Cellars. They are always our first visit during our annual trip to Amador and they've earned that. We find their zins to be the best in the county and a few bottles always come home with us if we need them or not. Their grounds are nice and their people are a lot of fun and very nice as well. Really the only thing that would make the visit better would be a roaming winery dog, but no stars off for not having one (that we saw). If visiting the area, be sure to give Turley a visit, you will be glad you did.
Great atmosphere, and the sunset was amazing. The pizza by Flour and Flame is phenomenal.
Great time, very educational, the wines were very good, though a bit fruit forward for my personal taste, but there was no cloying sweet wines. Thanks Kendra for all the information, enjoyed talking about your time at VCU.
Lovely tasting and very accommodating to our dog. They offer tasting room only wines, library wines and hard to find magnums. Tasting fee waived for members.

Super friendly, if you love Zin you will love Turley!
Tasting was great & staff was nice
We signed up for an event. My husband got an email, that it was cancelled. We drove here thinking we would just pick up and leave. We were surprised, to see the event going on as planned. They accepted our early reservation, since it changed to first come, first serve. Had room inside, which we prefer with it raining today. A good acoustic guitar and singer were playing. Wood stove pizza and delicious wine was poured. Our server Katie was experienced and very knowledgeable. This place has always been unique and surprisely fun.
We made the reservation beacuse we could reserve a picnic table and bring our own snacks. We were delighted by the warm service and back-story of the place. The wines are a great showcase of the region -- plus some interesting suprises. Enjoy!

Lovely location. We were, however, quite disappointed that the server spent more time talking about the backgrounds of the names of the wine rather than the descriptions of wines themselves. Ultimately, very expensive tastings for less than impressive wine
We had a great time at Turley wine cellars. We went to the Shenandoah wine tasting area planning to drive around to different wineries, however we stopped here because it looked kind of happening, there was a special event going on with great food and music and we ended up spending the day here and had a really good time. The wine was really good with a specialty in Zinfandels but with a good selection of other wines as well. While we enjoyed the music and dancing, they served us very nice food with salad and goat cheese as well as a very tasty shrimp and chicken rice jambalaya dish.We had front row seats on a warm patio under the sun in front of live guitar music and singing and very much enjoyed dancing on the patio. The views from this patio were also beautiful and the ambience was fantastic. The staff came by often, providing us with different wine tastings and even some bonus tastings. Definitely a place to keep an eye out for when events are coming up. Definitely will try to come back especially when they are doing something special like they were on this day. But even if you just want to taste them, it is a good place to stop by.
Great Zin producing. Wonderful staff. If you love zina, there is no winery that produces as many single vineyard bottelings from across California. Juvenile and Old Vines are inexpensive blends that are amazing values.
I've been on their mailing list for years and we finally made it up to their newer tasting room near Plymouth. It used to be the old Karly tasting room I believe (don't quote me on that!). We had a lovely experience - our was our first stop of the day since we flew into Sacramento earlier that day. The service was lovely and they snuck a couple of bonus wines into our tasting since we've been good customers (or maybe because it looked like we needed it!). I always enjoy their wines and their hospitality. Definitely make a reservation since they get busy and can't always accommodate walk-ins.
Visited for Big Crush Weekend. The patio/atmosphere is great. Very relaxing and well shaded. Wines are decent, lighter reds.
