Celebrated a friend’s bachelorette here and have no complaints ! The place is quirky, the staff is friendly, and you can tell they really want you take pride in what they cook. The portions were large enough that you definitely will not leave hungry- but it was also sooo delicious !! The menu changes but at the time , we had a really delicious soup and lamb, with the chocolate pot de creme. And they were so nice . Just a heads up, it’s cash only but there’s an atm close by !

Tucked away from the bustle of its neighboring bar, Bird Café and Supper Club in Point Arena is nothing short of a delightful secret. Behind two large curtains, down a long hallway, you'll discover this enchanting spot that exudes a sense of exclusivity. What strikes you most about Bird Café is the consistently exceptional quality of the food. They typically serve a set three-course meal with a limited selection, which enhances the sense of dining as an event. The options may vary, so it is advisable to call ahead to understand the day's offerings. It's also a perfect place for dietary flexibility as they cater to varying preferences and restrictions. Reservations are a must due to the intimate setting, with only about seven or eight tables available. It allows for a unique dining experience that is both cozy and refined. The ambiance, though warm and inviting, can get a little breezy, particularly given Point Arena's cool climate. So, bringing along a jacket wouldn't hurt. Having frequented Bird Café over the past few years, particularly during the holiday season, I can vouch for the sustained high standards they maintain. The quality of their ingredients is top-notch, resulting in dishes that can stand tall among the best that San Francisco's dining scene has to offer. In conclusion, Bird Café and Supper Club is an alluring culinary experience tucked away in the charming town of Point Arena. For food lovers who appreciate an intimate dining experience paired with gourmet excellence, this is a destination you do not want to miss.

The food is absolutely amazing. My husband said the sea bass was the best fish dish he's ever had. My pork was super moist and flavorful. My soup was great and both desserts were delicious.

Best meal you'll have on the central coast. Always fresh, delicious, and locally sourced. Awesome little spot. You must go if you are in the area.

BEWARE: cash only. With tip, around $150 for dinner for two with small pours of wine by the glass. Nice wine list. Very noisy inside. Food very good and also good service good and friendly.

Finding this place is not easy…. You go through a long hallway off the street into a windowless small dark room. It was Oyster Wednesday and the oysters were just ok. They were out of the bread (at 6:30pm), but the salad was good, simple and large enough to share. We also had the goat cheese coquettes that were good (but there were only 3… hard to share!) Service was slow and the lighting is bad- I had a spotlight in my face which was quite annoying! Might have stayed longer and ordered more food if we were more comfortable and the ambience was better! This place is nowhere near a 5 star restaurant… it really was just ok. Not enough to draw me back again.

Food was excellent. Surprised that no bread was served with the meal. No salt or pepper. No pepper grinder.

Once you go through the red curtains it’s a small and cozy dinning room but wow what a big experience! The three course dinner with the goat cheese croquettes was fantastic. I chose the salad (amazing dressing) followed by the Point Arena rock fish with crab relish (I hung out at the pier today and watched the fishermen unload their daily catch what an experience, especially since they ran out of fish but were resupplied just in time by said fishermen having a drink at the bar nextdoor ) I even had pictures of the fish LOL) and lastly the chocolate pot de crème. My server Amanda was ultra attentive and friendly with excellent recommendations. 10 out of 10 recommend. And I even got to regale my dinner mates about my day and showed pics of the fish we all ate ???Kid-friendliness: I made friends with my fellow diners and their 3 year old daughter ?
