I have some sort of very fond nostalgia for this place due to the many times I've stopped here during the past 30 years on biking or beach trips to the area. It's a cool town and a great location. The bakery itself is okay. The pastries are fair, not great, like they used to be. Staff is not the friendliest, some give you the stink eye if you ask them to fill your water bottle. I enjoyed my morning bun but I would’ve loved it heated. That would make it 5-stars for sure! No seating so we found a spot a couple blocks away to sit and relax. Good place to grab breakfast before a hike.
I just tried this place again after a decade and am pleased to say the scones are as good as ever. In fact, the blueberry scone is even bigger than I remember (banana for scale). Long live Bovine Bakery!
