What a gem! We’ve been coming to Point Reyes Station for years but just discovered this sweet little compound of inn, tavern, and cafe/market in Olema (less than 5 mins south of PRS!). Due West delivers on charm, delicious fresh food (oysters, mussels, burgers, eat ALL of it), and friendly local service. I highly recommend you venture out of the busy spots (that are also good, of course) and check out Due West. You will not be disappointed.

Food was pretty good but the service was just horrible. The restaurant wasn't busy, and we had to wait for someone to show up at the front to get us a table. Then, it took awhile for a server to show up to take an order. The servers didn't know what we ordered. Beverages were served after our meals came out. The only positive thing was that we were able to charge our car while we were waiting to eat...

We had an excellent meal here. Food was outstanding. We had fresh oysters, calamari and hanger steak. Dessert was creme brulee. Oysters were very creamy and the calamar cooked perfectly. The hanger steak was exactly medium rare and very tasty. Margarita was on point. I'd say this was one of the best meals I have had anywhere. Our server, Nina V was attentive and made great recommendations.

Food was pretty good and the ambience was nice, but it did feel a bit overpriced. They also tacked on a 5% living wage charge to the bill which I believe CA doesn’t allow restaurants to do anymore. Overall, cozy restaurant just outside of town and a decent option for dinner.

I had the worst food poisoning of my life here after eating the salt brined chicken. Everything else tasted great, but I do not recommend that dish.

Food was ok for the price. 90 bucks for a steak and hamburger, plus one beer. This Tavern has no real competition in town and they know it so it's priced accordingly. The fella behind the bar was VERY friendly and helpful. Gave us some tips to visit around the area. Nice bar. Music on Thursdays. If you're staying in or around Olema and want a quick beer and a bite and don't mind paying handsomely for it, give it a shot.

Service was a bit off based from our experience with the bartender. Not sure what his name is (he's around his 60's), but he was a bit rude and pushy in taking our orders and getting payments.
We tried to tip him, but he seems like he wanted more, which we cannot give.
Overall, the experience was good! I would come back to eat there again.

We unexpectedly happened upon this little gem during our trip to the west coast, and stopped in for lunch. The food was just wonderful, really nice menu, wine and cocktail offerings. Service was just a little slow but no matter - it was such a pleasant outdoor seating area. Could not have been happier. Highly recommend.
