My wife and I went for prime rib night. It was the worst excuse for prime rib I've ever had in a restaurant. They don't cook the whole rib the way a normal restaurant does they hack a hunk off and take it to some fry place and then give it to you. It was really nasty. When I told them how horrible the food was he gave me a 50% discount but I wanted good food not a discount. The waitress was nice and pleasant the food was terrible .

Had dinner there tonight - the first time we've been there since it was remodeled. I think it was closed for well more than a year. The food was great and the service was outstanding. It is primarily a steakhouse, but has a good selection of seafood and pasta as well. The bar looks really nice, too. I only gave it four stars for atmosphere because the open fireplace (which is a very cool thing in winter) was giving off some smoke. We will definitely go back now that we have tried it.

I was excited to try this place but was pretty disappointed. Very average food for a lot of $$$. I got the ribs and was pretty surprised at how little flavor they had. They were over 50% solid fat and not in a good way. I left ribs on the plate because they weren't worth the effort. My wife got the pork chops with applesauce and it was equally average. 2 dinners and 2 beers was over $150. Won't be back.

We had New Years dinner there tonight. The food was good and the service was very good. They had a band playing, but unless you were in the bar area, you couldn't hear it. Might be nice to have the music ? playing low volume in the dining room. Will go back again.

Very friendly staff and great food! I had a steak, it could've been given a bit more of a crust, but it was still great. Atmosphere was great, though a tad pricy! 10/10Parking: On street, there's a couple spots but may fill up later, we came around 3 ishKid-friendliness: GoodWheelchair accessibility: All level, probably good

Went in for the Tuesday night special menu. Six of us got the $14 burger, and all of the burgers and fries were cold, good flavor, but cold. Other people at the table got meatloaf and soup, etc. and said they were excellent and hot. But it was a very disappointing birthday dinner for me. Waterfall Margarita and Lavender Collins were excellent.

The food was ok, but overpiced for what it was. The service was friendly, but very slow even though it wasn't busy.

Just go!Support community businesses. On our travels & just off hwy 50, we were looking for a new restaurant closer to home. Struck gold with this find, 50 GRAND, did not disappoint us when we stopped for dinner.Great service, food and atmosphere. They have weeknight specials on Tuesday & Wednesday nights (at least for now), I decided to try the spaghetti & meatballs, delicious! Husband tried the burger special (can’t go wrong it had three different meats), super good, he was happy.Even my entree salad was crisp & fresh as can be. And almost as exciting was my glass of Chardonnay, which was a generous pour.As we left one of the owners was outside, he came up, introduced himself with a handshake, and asked us how we enjoyed our meal, (just imagine that, an owner that cares that much), and we were happy to report how great everything was.We are so happy to find this restaurant that’s near enough for a 25 minute drive to enjoy a meal.We are anxious to go back for a delicious steak dinner.

We recently dined at 50 Grand Restaurant and Bar in Pollock Pines, CA, in anticipation of a family gathering in November. We chose to visit on a Sunday night, and though they offered the lunch menu only in the bar, we decided to give it a try. Our experience exceeded expectations. Molly, our bartender, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and the waitstaff was equally pleasant. The drink selection at the full bar was impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Bloody Mary, while my husband savored a beer on tap. We indulged in the artichoke dip and Mac and cheese from the appetizer menu, both of which were exceptional. For our main courses, I opted for the ribs and fries with a side salad, and my husband went for the battered chicken sandwich with fries—both were delicious. In our excitement, we dug into our meals so swiftly that we forgot to capture a picture! For dessert, we shared a delightful lemon cheesecake accompanied by a well-made cappuccino. I highly recommend saving room for this sweet treat. Our experience was so outstanding that we made a reservation for our family gathering before leaving. There's no need to explore other options; 50 Grand Restaurant and Bar has won us over. When in Pollock Pines, especially after a day at Jenkinson Lake, biking, hiking, or simply enjoying the natural beauty, don't miss this hidden gem nestled among the pine trees in town. It's sure to be a perfect choice for any occasion.
