We went here after our usual spot for tamales was closed. I want to say this place is an absolute gem for tamales hidden here in OC. They are very flavorful and they don't skimp on ingredients! We ordered pork and chicken tamales. The masa is perfect, not too dry, not too mushy. It's a perfect ratio of masa and meat. The flavors are amazing and create a happiness of flavors with the spices and chicken and the pork. Both meats were tender, juicy and flavorful, not dry and bland and chewy. They are a bit spicy, but not overpowering or sickening. As a friend's nephew once explained spiciness to me, they don't poke your tounge too much, just a little. I highly suggest an ice cold Coke to go with these tamales. That is a heavenly combo. I really think you should give this place a try for tamales. I will definitely return for more. I didn't try their breads yet, but I definitely will try them another time around.

The lady who helped us seemed serious and rushed. She was helpful, though.

Bought chicken and elote (corn) tamales. Unfortunately, one of the elote tamal was a bit sour. Their bollios were in a gray case to keep warm. They were freshly made when we arrived in the evening. The bollios are definitely worth buying.

I have come here numerous times, and their breads are always fresh. And even better they accept Apple Pay, and have a variety of drinks and other food items available.

I have been buying sweet bread, bolillo and cakes for my 4 children's birthdays for more than 10 years.
Excellent service, quality and the best price in Pomona.
The staff is very attentive and friendly, buy bolillo for some cakes and don't miss the sweet bread for coffee.
I recommend Cortez Bakery 100%

I don't know why people prefer other bakeries where they sell stale and old bread... I recommend this bakery, it is excellent. Quality and freshness without the need to stand in long lines.

For a bakery, they don't have a big variety of sweet bread. Prices are ok. They seem more focused on selling pre-made breakfast or lunch items like burritos. Workers were more focused on gossiping than helping clients.

The cinnamon bread is very expensive there, and don't tell me, at least the burritos are expensive, and with two bites, sometimes the person who serves and charges is gone, and she seems to be in a bad mood, and it's already very expensive there, the truth is, the owner is already He doesn't even show up or let himself be seen, that's why I think the baker is a white-haired, white-haired baker, also of the same genius, his business is terrible, even though it's because of the special son the owner has, it's terrible, it's not like before.
