I’ve been a long-time customer of Curry Time, from their El Monte location to the Pomona location, and have had both good and bad experiences over the years. Unfortunately, my most recent visit left me disappointed.
When I visited yesterday, the food appeared as though it had been sitting out for several hours—unappetizing and untouched. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, and the chicken was noticeably dry. I also tried the cauliflower and potato dish, which had an unusual texture and didn’t taste as fresh as it normally does.
What added to my disappointment was the pricing. The amount I was charged at checkout did not match the prices listed on either the overhead screen or the printed menu displaying combo meal options. It was frustrating to be charged more than expected, especially given the quality of the food.
At $18 for a single meal plus another 6 for Samosas, the value simply isn’t there anymore—especially when there are other Indian restaurants in the area offering better food at more reasonable prices. It’s unfortunate, but I don’t see myself returning.
One last note: I strongly suggest hiring more staff. There’s usually only one person working, and on multiple occasions, I’ve found him asleep when I walk in to order. That doesn’t reflect well on the restaurant’s professionalism or service.

Place needs some upgrades but the food was really good.
One of worst food i ever tried
Good food, little pricey for indian food. NIce family owned and operated business. I will go back many times.
, and recommend to others.
Great food, friendly service.
They make my favorite curry of all the places on my way home from work.

Owners where very polite explained the menu for me being there my 1st time food was amazing I got the coconut chicken and goat with afgani chicken absolutely delicious
Very good veggy korma and chicken Tikka masala, got 2 meals from the 2 item combo, and the garlic Naan makes the curry perfect!
Ordered Togo food 3/4 times from both stores. Every time got disappointed with the quality of food. In Eggplant curry couldn't find eggplant, all spices and onion. Will never go again. Very pricy compare to other good food.
the black pepper chicken and coconut curry are to die for! service was amazing. the owner is absolutely the sweetest and is very welcoming. I told her I wasn't sure what to order so she offered me some samples!
So after a hard search of 2 minutes, I found this place close to my home in Pomona. I would say as per quantity and quality they literally beat the market.
Food is good and tasty. Staff is really helpful to choosing right thing for you. Don't forget to try samosa chat there.
