I am a female door dasher that attempted to pick up from this place and as soon as I entered this restaurant the owner immediately started accusing me of being a “liar” for arriving late to pick up an order” (I was on time according to DoorDash) yelling at me , disrespecting me, being extremely rude and kept cutting me off while trying to explain “why I was late” etc. He then proceeded to continue yelling at me and telling me to get out, not being about to deliver the order I was there for. He told me that I was no longer welcomed there, and despite the fact that my stepdad worked for this ungrateful man.He obviously does not care about his customers and about his customer service. This was extremely unprofessional and I for sure not return to this horrible restaurant with this horrible owner. I will be taking this situation very seriously even though he does mention that he does not care so we will see how much he really doesn’t care. I am very disappointing on what happened today nobody should ever be treated the way this man treated me today I am just a 19 year old female that was just trying to make a little extra cash. And to any DoorDashers out there don’t arrive late or you will get yelled at as well.

Let me tell you!!!! I just moved to the Chino area and had a hard time finding good Soul Food so I would wait until I visited LA to get what I was craving. I googled soul food near me and Day Day’s popped up. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try AND LET ME TELL YOU THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I ordered the 3 piece and two side meal. I chose all wings fried crispy and the Mac and cheese with greens. Everything was so GOOD and piping hot! They even gave me an extra wing. I would have given 5 stars for the food but, there was a lot of spicy rub on my wings, I’m not a fan of spicy food and they don’t offer cornbread unless the meal is catered. Other than that I highly recommend and will be returning soon!

WASTE OF TIME. Went there on 7-4-25 and ordered smothered pork chops, cabbage and Mac and cheese. The pork chops were ok however, very thin and barely any rice to go with my gravy. The cabbage was BURNED!!! The fact that you could visibly see the cabbage was burned AND still served it to me is unacceptable. The Mac and cheese was also a disappointment. Small portions and not worth my hard earned money. Sidenote, only when I got there was i told that they weren't accepting cards just cash and zele. Fortunately, I had zele otherwise I would've had to leave to find an ATM smh. However ,the young lady was very apologetic and it worked out but definitely never returning.

Came here on Juneteenth and ordered the smothered pork chops, mac and cheese, and peach cobbler. The food was bad — the pork chops had a sour, spoiled smell and tasted freezer-burned. Gravy was dumped all over the plate, and the mac and cheese was rubbery and inedible. I paid almost $40 for this and couldn’t eat it.
Called the next day and spoke to Day Day, who was rude from the start. I asked for a refund — he refused and said they’d remake it. I asked if I could get something different instead — again, no. I even asked if they could just put the gravy on the side this time, and he acted annoyed. I said ill come pick it up and he just hung up on me lol
I was happy to be supporting a black owned business and ended up really disappointed. This place doesn’t feel sanitary, and the customer service was just as bad as the food. Won’t be coming back.

My order was supposed to come with wings but came with legs. Wings are basically the only pieces I like, but overall, it wasn't bad at all.
Now let me start with saying food was not all bad, but there could be some improvements. We ordered delivery the smothered pork chops and oxtails dinner. Pork chops was good but if you say center cut then let it be center cut because the chops I received weren't center they were thin and very fatty. The gravy was thick but had that raw flour taste, the black eye peas were salty (at least for my taste) my husband liked them. The red beans and rice tasted sour to me, can't speak much about the hushpuppies because they forgot to give them to me. Now onto to the Oxtails plate (I should gave know better when I called and they said they weigh them) when I opend that plate and there were only two small/medium Oxtails I was pissed for $26.99 really!!! The yams looked like they got it from the bottom of the pot and my husband said the Oxtails were blan. Not sure what to think of the banana pudding cause there weren't any bananas in it. Now I usually go there for breakfast not often but when I have it was great, dinner not so great. I would say try for yourself because we're all different with different palettes. I hope this review helped someone save some money and time.

I meeeeeeaaaan‼️I was talking to my Grandma, I felt her spirit soon as I tasted that chicken…OMGawd. I don’t have to look for a place to eat anymore or drive 50 miles to LA.
When you mad you only have 1 STOMACH 🤪OR mad you still full hours later…..I can’t wait til tomorrow so I can finish my food. I Ate at 4pm still full at 10pm…..⏰tic toc

Super delicious chicken and waffles. The chicken was perfectly seasoned. The waffles were totally fresh and fluffy and came with enough butter and syrup. The potatoes were awesome and the eggs are done right. Service was great. Prices were really reasonable for the huge plates of food we got. Really excited to come back here in the future, really enjoyed this meal.
