#1 place for bbq. The staff is coo people. The ribs fall off the bone. Brisket is fire ?. Mac and cheese delicious. Coolaid and lemonade. Bussin. Last the cornbread is insane. U gotta try it. Thanks for the bomb food. Blessings.

Great food,! building is old, but I swear that's where you find the best food lal, I can confidently recommend the fish, cornbread, Mac n cheese, and yams.

Excellent food. I saw the gentleman peeling the yams so I can assure you they are not canned as I had been told. Super friendly staff. Had their ribs for the 1st time on july 3rd, they were so good I took a friend on july 6. Ribs and sides are great, the fried fish, not so such.
The guys working here are friendly and funny. I enjoyed the camaraderie. I ordered the 2 ..2 meat combos. The person with me enjoyed the spare ribs and brisket. The sides were not that good. I'll pass on the greens, blackeyes peas( they had weird after taste),and the yams were just okay. Definitely nothing to write home about. Straight out the can. I ordered the Mac N Cheese, and it was bland and missing the cheese (it's only on top). The noodles were dry and bland.I I would also pass on the bake beans. Again, straight out of the can, and they added some kind of ground meat to it. Nothing special at all. My hot link could have stayed on the grill a little longer. It wasn't done to me, but to eaches own. The Brisket was tender with just a little fat. The BBQ sauce wasn't bad. The spicy isn't really spicy and tastes way better than the regular sauce. Would I return... maybe for the BBQ, but most likely not!

Food was horrible. Ribs were tough. Greens tasted like it was cooked in fish grease and Mac n cheese was tasteless. Tasted like cheese and noodles no flavor. The sliced beef was the only thing I could finish. Way over priced I spent 47.00 for a combo plate and drink. Not worth it at all I will not be back.
We were here in California visiting from New Mexico. We got a hotel and decided to order something to eat. We ordered two 10 piece wing dinners and a Snapper plate to be delivered. One of the wing dinners were supposed to be barbecue. When we received the order, there was no barbecue, both wing dinners were plan. When I called, he said, "Yea, I noticed I forgot the barbecue when the delivery driver left." He then told me to come to the restaurant to get the sauce. I told him we were here visiting and asked if his delivery driver was coming this way. He said he didn't know. He again ask ME to come pick it up. I told him forget it, we'll just move on....This guy obviously knows nothing about business or customer service. By the way, some of the wings were overcooked while others were not fried long enough. The Snapper was very dry as were the fries. It seemed like the food had been sitting for awhile. We will not come back. Not to mention, we ordered $97.00 of food. You'd think we would have received better. This food is on the level of McDonald's. If you're expecting any type of standards, don't bother.

My mom likes this place...the ribs are good the sauce is really good cuz it has a sweetness which I know not everyone cares for that. Idk if they have other sauces available. The catfish pieces are good and they give alot and the dip(tartar sauce) is amazing which alot of places f it up . My personal favorites are the hush puppies & mac & cheese. They also have really good service skills cuz my mom order thru one of the delivery apps and the manager or owner called telling her something was out and just him doing that was really nice cuz not all places even give you a heads up. So if you like soul food type food I recommend!!

Family of four visited for dinner on a weekday evening. Immediately upon entry we 'raised the roof!' Plenty of menu variety. Owners are very friendly and sincere. Gave us a one-on-one experience.Each of us chose something different to eat. Everything we ordered was enjoyed by all family members.The vibe of this restaurant reminded us Gen-Xers about the '90-'00s; and we loved that!My wife intends to return with friends from Lubbock and show them how the Westsiiiiiide does soul food!
