Family of four visited for dinner on a weekday evening. Immediately upon entry we 'raised the roof!' Plenty of menu variety. Owners are very friendly and sincere. Gave us a one-on-one experience.Each of us chose something different to eat. Everything we ordered was enjoyed by all family members.The vibe of this restaurant reminded us Gen-Xers about the '90-'00s; and we loved that!My wife intends to return with friends from Lubbock and show them how the Westsiiiiiide does soul food!

We had wanted to try a new place in a area we were not familiar with and we decided here. The service was okay, there was a lot of camotion coming from the kitchen and it was very loud. The bbq sauce tasted like ketchup, the meat was not tender and was very dry. On top of everything the meat was flavorless and the sides were to. The meat was also obviously microwaved. Overall I would not recommend eating here. We thought we were going to get authentic soul food and was very disappointed. It was over priced also!!

Les is the Man! I’m from out of town and was looking for a quick dinner and was craving BBQ, I found J and Js and was absolutely blown away by not only the food but also the service! The brisket and is tender juicy and full of flavor! The Mac and cheese was out of this world! But what tied it all together was the homemade.Banana Pudding, it was so good we called and got a pan made the next day for our Christmas Eve party! Thanks to Les and his family for the amazing food and service, I hope everyone gives this place a try! You won’t be disappointed!

Me and my boyfriend had a wonderful time. The service Is A1 and they have a beautiful junk box that has nothing but oldies and great hits which really set the mood. The food was fresh and hot. I would definitely be back to try there collar green and fish.
