Had 7:30 pm reservation and didn't get seated until 8:00 pm. Did not get our ice tea for 30 minutes and only after I asked waitress. She said the bar was backed up and when I asked why ice tea was coming from the bar she said oh that's right and she went and got our tea. Then she didn't bring sugar until asked 2x. When she brought the sugar she left our dirty salad plates that we had pushed to the edge of the table in place and only removed them when I asked her to. Food took over an hour to be served. Then the bill came and we were charged for an extra item we did not order or receive. She was a nice waitress and I could tell she was really trying but management needs to step up and make sure their servers are well trained.

We eat out often and are rarely this disappointed. The food here was incredibly bland and had absolutely no flavor. It was so under-seasoned that my husband, who never uses salt, had to heavily salt his meal just to make it edible. For the price they charge, the quality is simply not there. We will not be back and definitely do not recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful food in a fun environment with a spectacular view. They still have a great salad and soup bar, always well-stocked. Our server, Cassidy was exceptional. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This was my first time I experienced Pomona valley mine. It was so delicious nothing like I would have ever expected. What really got me was the open salad bar I'm such a fan of a good salad. I will be returning for another special occasion. It was my boyfriends birthday and I'm so happy I surprised him with this dinner. It wasn't a let down at all. Thank u for such great service and delicious food.

This was my second time at your restaurant and I clearly enjoyed my first experience better. The food was subpar for the price. Very disappointed because when I went the first time the food was amazing. This second time there was no seasoning no flavor everything was bland. And the first time I went was through the holidays when it was extremely busy and when I went to second time it was very empty. I would have expected the food to be amazing as it was the first time.

I was really disappointed with my experience. The service was cold and inattentive from the start. When my steak finally arrived, it was cold and clearly had been sitting out for a while. For the price, I expected much better quality and service. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark, and I won't be returning.

My favorites were the Prime Rib with both pure and creamed horseradish availability, the salmon was perfect, not overdone like some buffets are, they also have some of the best menudo in town, we absolutely love the crab legs there. It was the first time for our guests, and they're already planning their return date.

No sides for their entrees anymore. Everything's a la carte, raised prices from last year. Food was still very good. Service was great since we had three toddlers with us. Clam chowder soup tasted like a lot of flour which is disappointing. Romaine salad was full of brown pieces which did not seem too fresh and missing in the salad bar was chickpeas and black olives which I like.

Flawless kitchen, but the service was a struggle. The meal itself was one of the best I've had in a long time; the chefs at Pomona Valley Mining Co. are clearly at the top of their game. Unfortunately, our server was completely disorganized and appeared clueless throughout the night. While the rest of the support staff was professional and helpful, our specific server's lack of basic knowledge and attention to detail made the experience frustrating. Come for the food, but hope for a different section!

We have been coming here for 40 years, and recently there have been changes, all for the better. The salad is no longer served in a miner's pan, and the menu has a much better presentation. Our server was very good and very conscientious about getting our feedback to the manager. I ordered the steak medium, knowing full well it would come back medium-rare, and it did. I mention this because if you like your steak medium, I would order it medium-well or even well-done. Regardless, the steak was delicious, but I do like a medium-rare finish. The atmosphere is wonderful, and we always go early to get a window table for a view of the Pomona Valley. The only disappointment was that the cookie dessert was burnt on the edges, and we sent it back.

Honestly not worth the money, the only really standout thing was the view. The waitress wasn't very friendly/accommodating, they ignored my seating request despite the restaurant being basically empty, and the food was pretty bland & overpriced. The menu also isn't anything amazing, pretty basic menu so I assumed small menu = good food bc thats what they focus on but was let down. To top it off the mushrooms weren't even washed properly, I actually had a bit of dirt in my mushroom which made for an awful sand like crunch when biting into it. Wouldn't recommend, spend your money elsewhere. The only redeeming factor was a stunning window-side view of the city lights.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Do to the rain we wanted to use the exit closes to the handicap parking. We was told do to a private party we had to use the front exit. Maybe they should put some handicap parking closer to the front exit.

Went last night for my daughter's birthday. upon arrival we used the ladies room and it was filthy even though they barely opened. I mentioned it to the hostess but before leaving we used it again and it was even worse. Waitress had to be asked to refill drinks and 2 of our steaks that were supposed to be medium well were rare. Of course they put them back on the fire which made them tough and awful so i did not eat it. If you are going to charge 50+ for a steak your chef should know how to cook it properly.
