Oldschool Chinese bakery. No fluff, no nonsense... also the only game in town when it comes to fruit tart cakes. Honestly I've never tried any of their other products so I'm not sure what they're like, but if you like a fruit tart cake (my wife loves em), this is your spot. It's like a thirty mile drive each way, but it's worth it!

I Love their Cakes?, 1 of my favorites, not to sweet n spongy Yummm. Yes, they use can pineapples most do, strawberries n bananas, Bomb ❤️ Specailly when is cold. Its an old bakery in Pomona, that the whole area is run down. But the Lady is Amazing an Sweet 10 out 10 Because I love this spongy fluffy w whipped cream frosting n almonds around the sides ????

My family has been coming here for years, if not decades. We love that the moist cakes aren’t too sweet (which is a huge Asian compliment aha). I would recommend the regular yellow cake with chocolate frosting (the frosting is rich and not overly sweet like most bakeries) or the fruit cake. The cakes are decorated well and are reasonably priced.

I ordered my daughter's Quinceanera cake here. I ordered it a month in advance, and they didn't have the cake ready because they forgot. So they said they would deliver it to my venue w/o charge, and the cake arrived and was placed in the refrigerator. When we put it together because they don't do it for us. We noticed that the 3-tier cake had each their carton under each layer, and it was bigger than the cake. When we put it together you can see the carton under the cake for each layer. the model was not supposed to show the carton between layers. They said it had to be bigger because it might slide off but when we looked at it, it was already tilting. So, I called them to come back and fix it... they had to cover the carton with frosting which was not the color of the cake, but neon color and they had to put more support, so the cake was standing up straight. We had to decorate it with roses to make it look nice... and once we did it was decent after the carton being sort of hidden. The cake tasted great no complaints there, but I will not ask them to do the 2, 3, or 4 tier cakes again. I will stick to only a single tier cake for birthdays or just because.

Amazing cake! Delicious soft, not too sweet. It was everyone's new favorite cake and so beautiful. Can't wait to order again for my next birthday celebration! You have to call ahead of time to order. I called the same day morning and she was able to have a cake for me that afternoon. So thankful to have a delicious cake on my birthday!

I had my wedding cake made here and it not only looked amazing, it tasted delicious! The guests noted the cake was moist and frosting light and perfectly sweet. I ordered the flowers and R&J added the flowers to my cake.

I ordered a cake on Sunday for my dad's birthday and I asked specifically for a coconut green cake with fresh fruit on top. I asked for it to be ready on Tuesday. The lady kept saying Wednesday and I kept correcting her. My dad use to buy my birthday cakes here for years. Hence I wanted to get him a cake here, a trip from memory lane... but no, the lady who took the order was rude and even though I even asked her to repeat my order back to me and she confirmed it was a coconut green cake with fresh fruit on top, that was not what I got.I got a round vanilla cake with coconut filling and I told her that wasn't what we talked about on the phone and she said that only the big cakes were green and that I should've ordered a big cake not a small one. I told her what was not what we agreed on. I still paid for the cake but I will not be coming back, or at least I'll have my dad order cakes, they'll probably be nicer if the person speaks vietnamese ?Lady with the short hair was rude and still had the audacity to forget the pick up date (good thing I called to confirm in the morning), and to tell me I was wrong when she was the one who was wrong.

Well, I was tasked with getting the birthday cake for my in laws for their joint birthday party. To switch things up, I decided to get this fruit tart cake from R & J. I remembered how good this tart was at facility pot lucks a few years back. Well, the fruit tart was a hit once again! A pastry is considered good by an Asian person if it is described as "not too sweet." Everyone enjoyed that it didn't induce toothaches from the first to the last bite. The bonus: since this cake featured lots of fruits, we didn't feel as guilty about enjoying a slice or two.

I absolutely loved this bakery. I normally order from a place in Eagle Rock, but that's way too far. I'm so happy I found R&J. I called around 9am and she had a cake ready for me by 3. My cake was with fresh strawberries and whipped cream I will definitely be back here :)

This place serves very good yummy, flakey crispy & fluffy light Asian style fruit tart cakes that isn't too sweet nor heavy like the American cakes that you find everywhere else. I was very happy with the way that mu cake came out & it was very budget friendly as well. I definitely recommend this place, don't judge a place only by its cover. Please support more mom & pop places, they truly deserve your support moreso than these big chain places. Especially after the crazy pandemic years that we've gone thru. Tip: you can pick a cake style from the books at the front counter & they can make it for you but you will have to provide the toys to decorate it with because that decoration company went out of business.
