Honestly, the food is delicious, but the bartender that served me My margarita drink . I feel like he put something in my drink cause I felt really weird right after so just be careful. I never felt like that drinking or Margarita. I couldn't even finish it all my face wasn't numb..

This place is so slow it's ridiculous. They are never near capacity when I have gone on 3 different occasions, and I sat at the bar to try to get faster service. Sadly this is a waste of a really great location. Hopefully they can change ownership before the place fails and is replaced. The food is horrible too. Each time I tried something different. The sushi is just not real sushi. It's all filled with imitation crab or spicy tuna. They don't have a single real sushi roll, don't expect omakase, nigiri or even sashimi grade seafood at this location. I even tried the food from their "El Jefe" kitchen, and the chile relleno was so gross I couldn't even finish a 1/4 of it. I really tried to enjoy it, because I was starving after work, but this was the last straw for me. Chile relleno isn't that difficult to get right, they overloaded it with cheese. I basically just got a plate of melted cheese, and there was nothing good about it, even when I tried to remove most the cheese. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

FOOD POISONING Me and a friend dined in right after work as we were hungry and craving the nearest sushi place.We got seated but our waiter would take long to come around.We sat outside but it was a little windy and feared our chip basket would fly away haha.To drink I got an horchata and a coke for my friend.We got some sushi and some rolls like the "Bad hair day""Seared Scallop" & a Yellowtail one.The sushi was falling apart when we would lightly attempt to grab them as the rice was probably not sushi rice.They took extremely long making the sushi as we weren't sure if the waiter would forget as he was also busy making drinks.We only saw about two waiters while the other was inside probably attending other tables ? Even if we didn't really see any.Once we were full we got a to go box and asked for the check,there was lots of leftovers so I decided to give them to my friend as her husband wanted to try them.Even when we asked for the check he took EXTREMELY long,we had to stand up and just walk away until he catched up to us and handed it over.Later on at night I started developing food poisoning symptoms with my stomach hurting extremely bad where it woke me up from my sleep.I also experienced nausea & chills.Both my friend and her husband also experienced similar symptoms to me and the only thing we had in common was the sushi. As of this morning we three are also having diarrhea.We both will never come or give our business here anymore.UPDATE:I am now experiencing vomiting and lack of appetite accompanied with fatigue.

I had attempted to come here on several occasions, I finally made it here and needless to say I was disappointed, The tables were sticky, I sat by the window and it was so dirty , the booths are falling apart and there were little flies that totally grossed me out. Food was ok, the water melon margarita was fire tho !

The worst restaurant ever food was nasty and service horrible carnitas dish was beyond vomiting on top of that I was charged a $1.99 up charge in my bill when I ask about it the waiter pull his tip money out and said here let me laid for you !!!!!. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Horrible just horrible will never visit this place ohh by the way they think Tajin is the key to cooking.

When I came here a second time, there were flies everywhere. We had to consistently try to swat them away. Even with the effort, the flies landed on our food three times. It was off putting. Buttery Scallop: 4/5 Came here and tried this a second time, it was okay. Hahha not a 5/5 like the first time. Mango monkey mangoey : 3/5 a little gooey inside Viva La pomona: 4/5 cause the cream cheese is bomb El salmon: 4/5 the lemon paired well. Guacamole: 4/5 there were jalapeño bits in it!

This is one of my only reviews and my most direct... Called in for a take out orderof two of the simpler rolls. 20 min in advance Both; overpriced and the fish was not up to par. I showed up on time; being Saturday evening, asked for a shot of house vodka. 2 x rolls $29 - not appetizing fish 1x shot $13- house vodka $42 spent (before gratuity) investing in regret.

I'm an avid sushi eater and I was looking forward to trying something different (Mexican sushi). I love salmon and yellowtail, but I can't stand tuna. I opted for the El Salmon roll which is advertised as having salmon on the outside with spicy salmon on the inside. I also ordered the Mellow Yellow roll which is advertised as having yellowtail on the outside with spicy yellowtail on the inside. When the plates came to the table the rolls had significantly less fish on top than the menu pictures, but this didn't actually bother me much. What did bother me was the fact that both rolls had spicy tuna inside of them. I went on Yelp and saw that all of the other pictures of these rolls also had spicy tuna inside of them to confirm it wasn't a one off thing. This is blatant false advertising and the owner/operator must not be familiar with the 'truth in menu' law. This business either needs to change their menu or start making their rolls as described. Needless to say, I will not return.
