HORRIBLE!!! Fries burned and greasy; chilli was cold and bland. ALL sodas flat. And service was very poor. Of course… WAY too expensive for all the subpar aspects of this place.
Exceptionally good food and service in a renovated historical downtown building. The LA hot dog was the best I've ever eaten. We arrived a few minutes before opening and the bartender/server graciously allowed us in, greeting us warmly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and will certainly return when I find myself in downtown Pomona, which appears to be on the verge of resurgence thanks to an influx of young entrepreneurs such as the ones operating The Rookery. I urge readers to support downtown revitalization by patronizing this outstanding establishment.
I recently dined here before a concert and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The food quality left much to be desired. The zucchini, which I had hoped would be a fresh and flavorful side, was anything but. It was coated in a thick, greasy, and flavorless batter that made it unappetizing.
The chili cheese fries were another major letdown. The dish consisted of a lot of bland, weirdly dry beef and stewed tomatoes, but there was barely any cheese. This was particularly disappointing as the cheese is supposed to be a key component of chili cheese fries. I ended up eating around the chili, and thankfully, the french fries themselves were actually pretty good. However, everything on the plate desperately needed salt to bring out any flavor. The jalapenos in the picture were actually from a hot dog that somebody else at the table had and they were also not enough to save the food.
While the service was friendly, it didn't quite make up for the food issues. I had requested sour cream to go with my fries, but it didn't arrive until I had already given up on trying to salvage the dish.
Overall, my visit here was far from enjoyable. The lackluster food really overshadowed the friendly demeanor of the staff.
Meals are fresh and delicious!
Great Atmosphere!
Friendly atmosphere!
Great place to hang out for awhile!
Highly recommended!
Best kept secret in town?
Food was good, but burger was overcooked as I specifically asked for it to be medium rare and the server said ok. Selection of ciders was also very small. Only 2 which would be ok if from a tap. However these 2 were in a can, offer more if they are in a can. I would go back here for the burgers tho!
Hush puppies 🔥
Has been awhile since we have been here. weather was warmer , it was the early evening, and it was a nice place for quick drinks and talk.
This time, about 6pm, weather was cooler, and one could definitely feel it sitting there.
If 6 there to drink, there are plenty of cultured beers to choose from. We found the food a little greasy and probably would not order again.
Back in the day (when I was a lot younger), I probably would stop in for a quick beer or two, but without a pool table or dart board I would not stay long.
Service was impeccable. We had a large group of about 30, basketball team and families. They made our experience smooth and stress free. Food was timely for such a big group, delicious and tasty comfort food. Would definitely recommend.

Really nice place in downtown San Dimas, lots of good food on the menu, a great beer selection and great service.
Next time I'm in San Dimas I'll be sitting at the bar here!

Been a local here since they opened at the previous location down the street. Super chill vibes, dog friendly, rotating local breweries on tap and canned. Any food on the menu is gourmet. You can tell all the ingredients are quality, it fills me up for hours.

We ordered the bbq sandwiches. They were very dry and it was just the meat and the bun. The price does not match the quality.
I've enjoyed this place in the past, but my last two visits have been disappointing. The tables were sticky, and the onion rings were burnt and greasy. As a resident of Pomona, I take pride in promoting local businesses, but it's hard to do that when the quality doesn't meet expectations. I hope management takes the necessary steps to improve, as this place has great potential. With a few changes, it could easily get back to being a favorite spot in the community.
