A friend of mine told me that BVR was amazing. He was not wrong. Everything we ordered (shrimp & grits, chilaquiles, appetizers and cocktails were next level. Seriously the best shrimp and grits I have had since I was last in Alabama. The town was awesome, the people were super friendly and we left with two $100 gift cards as gifts for a couple of friends to get over here. If you have not been, then go asap.
Made a last minute reservation on Saturday evening and was so happy there was an availability. The food quality and service were wonderful. It was a very warm evening which made the visit to Port Costa amazing. Will definitely return to this hidden gem more often.
I really like this place. Been here twice in the past month. Last night some of the food was a bit disappointing. The deviled eggs were excellent and caesar salad was fine, although I prefer dark over white anchovies. The bread was excellent, however the fried chicken was disappointing. Very salty and almost burnt tasting. Too much seasoning and too much time in the fryer. The slaw served with it was too sour (too much pickling?). The chocolate pot de crem was good, but it needs...
