“Love this place!! Food was ecliptic and fantastic!! Definitely will be back. Try the pig ears!! Great service!! Loved the cheese steak, fried chicken and burgers!! Will be back.”
“The tastiest noodle soup I have ever had. I love ramen, pho, Thai soups and this place is the best. I can’t wait to go back. I’ll definitely be a regular. I got a front row seat, watching the chefs pull the noodles, while I ate my delicious spicy wontons and beef bone broth soup. There are 5 noodle sizes to choose from, to customize your soup, from angel hair to wide. Delicious.”
“Just dropped off Tam Boreenman off at The Happy Ending House of Asian Flavors there on Tennessee street, he asked if I could pick him up in 10 minutes....10 minutes! I told him he can just walk over to the La Pinata Taqueria, where I'll be enjoying some Tacos de Canasta, they're the best in Vallejo! Especially the potato and the frejoli tacos. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆”
“Amazing restaurant, Service was awesome, pricing is completely reasonable and affordable.Atmosphere is cozy and very friendly. Brian the owner came to check on us and was hospitable and cheerful.Let's get to the good part. FOOD.I have eaten many plates of chilaquiles in my day and I can honestly say this establishment IS THE BEST I'VE HAD. The super burrito was perfect as well.If you haven't been here you are missing out.Well worth the visit, I will be returning to try the many other dishes that are offered.Great job Brian ◉‿◉PS photo is of the chilaquiles rojo”
“I had a dozen assorted flavors shipped in for my baby shower across the U.S. and they made it time, perfectly intact and individually wrapped. They're less like -rhymes with bumbles- and more like homemade, which I adore! At BPBS flavors range from your classics like Dark Chocolate Sea Salt and Oatmeal Raisin Pecan to more unique concoctions like Banana Toffee or Walnut Brownie. Luckily, I was able to order some limited time flavors of Strawberries & Cream, Coffee Chocolate Chip, Salted Caramel Brownie--OMGggg my every pregnant craving dream come true. It was devoured amongst friends and family, but not before I devoured the coffee infused one first. Even enjoyed cold, the cookies are soft and gooey, some even had a crunchy edge; bonus points for this, so much yummm. Much thanks to the staff at BPBS for satisfying many sweet tooths at my baby shower!”
“Fish and garlic frys.. is my favorite. Right now !!Next week I'll try another..let u know!Parking: Parking is on the street not much of a walk no matter where u park ..It's Crockett!! Lovin it”
“Best breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches in the bay areaVegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. Also lots of regular food optionsWheelchair accessibility: Yes, large, new ramp”
“Hole in the wall Thai restaurant. Traditional flavors that hit all the right notes. I've been to tons of Thai restaurants all over the United States and this place is by far one of the greatest of all time. Reasonably priced and dishes pack a huge punch. Don't let the decor or location fool you, this place is worth checking out. I've been here twice in the past 2 weeks lol. Servers are always nice and food comes out PIPING HOT. Pro tip, ask for dishes spicier if you can hang and ask for with the spice rack to add an extra kick!”
“Good cookie but can sometimes be doughy. I recommend get something razy and something normal so that you have something you definitely like and something to new to try.”
“By far the most Authentic place in Vallejo , Fast service takes both cash, card and Apple Pay. Huge portions of food seasoned to perfection. And it’s Halal!! wish i could give 10/5 !! Wish i would have taken photos but i couldn’t wait to dive in ?? im from Mississippi and i haven’t had any quality food since moving here in 2019 this right here!! Straight HEAT!!”
“Came from out of town for a photoshoot, grabbed food and drinks here afterward, and let me tell you!!!! 100% worth! Eat here, great food, especially the Mac and Cheese.”
“We wanted warm comfort food and this was perfect and hit the spot. There's even a vegan menu in addition to meat and seafood.Vegetarian options: Pho chay was delicious, vegan options all looked like they would be great.”
“We dropped into Baxter's randomly last night and we're lucky enough to be seated in the speakeasy. This was a side room of the restaurant but also a world away! The atmosphere was amazing, plush, comfortable and yet sleek with a bit of a club feel. Then the food! Not only was it beautiful in presentation but absolutely delicious. My husband had the lamb and practically licked the plate clean he loved it so much. The scallops were also amazing and not over sauced. Both came with mashed potatoes and veggies which at most restaurants aren't that great, Baxter's however made these side dishes equally fresh and appealing. Their bartender knew what he was doing and made some great martinis as well. Overall it was an excellent experience, highly recommended! Usually I'd have to go to SF to get this kind of service, food and atmosphere.”
“This is my new favorite place. It was so good. I've only been here once but I'll definitely be going back. And it's only two blocks from where I live, so it's super convenient. But I'm sad now because I'm moving back to South Carolina and don't think that I'll be able to find Guatemalan food there. I'll be a regular here until I leave. I had the dobladas and the estofado de res, or beef stew, and both were delicious. The dobladas are like empanadas. The pastry isn't flaky like Argentinean empanadas, so they're a little different. They're plump with more stuffing than pastry. There are four in an order, and they come in beef, chicken, or vegetables. The meat stuffing was mixed with carrots and peas, which I liked. The woman taking my order said I could get a mix, so I got two chicken and two beef. Both were delicious. They came with sour cream, grated cheese and guacamole on the side. I don't understand the reviewer who said they lacked flavor. I thought they were very good. I'd order them again. I'd like to try the vegetable one, too. The estofado de res wa also very good, with chunks of tender beef, potato and carrots in a tomatoey gravy. It came with a scoop of rice and potato salad. My mother is from Spain, and the potato salad reminded me of the kind they make in Spain, with peas and carrots. I enjoyed it a lot. I got my order to go, and the ladies who work there gave me a complimentary cup of alote de etol, the warm sweet corn drink, while I waited. It was also very good. My food was ready so fast I had to take it to go. I didn't take any photos because I was too busy eating. I couldn't finish all of the food in one meal, so I saved about half of it for lunch the next day. I can't wait to try their other dishes soon :-) Ambience is casual. The dining area itself is small. Free parking in the back with a disabled spot at the front of the driveway. Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Price 4/5”
“Amidst the bustling traffic in El Cerrito, there's a hidden gem and a recent addition to the area. Blink and you'll miss it. Even during a brief pause at a stop light when there's a chance to look around, it's highly probable that you'll still miss it. There's no signage on the building itself, so look for the wine barrels sitting on the sidewalk as your clue, or perhaps you'll spot their small sandwich board just outside their front door. Find parking somewhere near 10368 San Pablo Avenue, the address to Banter, a wine bar with a warm atmosphere, welcoming decor, and communal tables. Offering a curated selection of old and new world wines, Banter focuses on small producers who prioritize minimal intervention from vineyard to bottle. On location, you can purchase a bottle from the shelves to enjoy at home or savor a glass (or bottle) in-house. If you need something to eat while you're there, choose from various delicious snacks including cheese, charcuterie, and other tasty treats. During the pandemic, while drinking wine and eating cheese in their backyard, owners Claire and Devin were inspired to open a wine bar, but they wanted their wine bar to feel like "home," - comfy, casual, no frills, just...chill. A collection of cozy couches in the back creates an ambiance reminiscent of enjoying a drink in the living room of your most stylish friend. Classic VHS tapes and 80's knick-knacks are precariously stacked high next to small vintage TVs playing films that will take you back in time. When I was last there the original Flash Gordon was playing. You probably won't get to hear any of the movie dialogue because the bar is spinning LPs from an ever-expanding vinyl collection, fueled by contributions from patrons. A pinball machine in the back room adds to the decor's nostalgic charm and provides an entertaining distraction between pours. With a partial kitchen, Banter partners with local talent and the community to create new opportunities by featuring "pop-ups" - temporary restaurants that allow chefs and restaurateurs to try out a new neighborhood, experiment with their menu, generate a following, or just get some great experience for their staff. During my most recent visit, I got a front-row seat at the bar to witness Chef Emmanual from the restaurant Bolita work his magic with fresh masa, a must-have ingredient at the center of all his signature dishes. Most notable was the Tamal de Calabaza which featured squash masa, mole negro tamal, roasted kabocha, and cashew crema. A nice compliment was the Papas Rositazadas, simple roasted potatoes with black garlic aioli. Both were deliciously elevated and beautifully plated for such a casual environment. Unfortunately by the time you read this Bolita would have moved on to their next location but you can track them down on their website at www.bolitamasa.com. Banter will continue to feature pop-ups and to find out what's in store next visit their location or follow their Instagram @banter_winebar. As temporary as the pop-up food concept is, Banter is hopefully here for good as they focus on what's most important, which is most fittingly stated by the intentionally sloppy, hand-painted sign in front, "Bad Signs, Good Wigns!"”
“Delicious food. Amazing service. And great portions. We got the poke bowls; they were great!! We also got the 3 amigos special roll, green tea, miso soup, and salmon nigiri. All amazing!! Our server was nice, quick, and very attentive. Always making sure our tea was hot and we were well covered. A couple outdoor tables, and a good amount of indoor. Tons of take out action. They have cool purple rice as a signature. And the fish was very tasty! Highly recommend. There is a good sized parking lot next to the restaurant. Just be sure to park with caution; the neighboring Ace hardware brings a lot of turn over of large work trucks that have some challenges with the parking lot. This is a great spot!!Vegetarian options: Tons of veg optionsDietary restrictions: Tons of veg optionsParking: Street parking and a lot both free!Kid-friendliness: Yes!Wheelchair accessibility: A bit tight, but I believe it is Ada compliant”
“Great place right off hwy 80 to grab some food to go (no indoor seating. ) I got the stir fry chicken akdah (similar to karahi chicken) with bell peppers and onions. Be sure to ask for the green chutney. I thought it was lacking in flavor. I added some Indian pickle to liven it up when i got home. It came with 3 large pitas. I'll be back to try the beef Sharma plate.”
“This has been the BEST experience dining in! When I came in I was deciding what meal I wanted, and after communicating that to the cashier, he helped me combine the best of both worlds (of which I was debating) and created an amazing meal. Thank you so much! I look forward to my next visit!”
“Instant favorite! Outstanding hole-in-the-wall establishment. Got 3 Uni as part of the generous sashimi lunch special. Fantastic fish protein quality, strongly competitive prices, lovely family-owned environment. Will go here again as soon as I'm nearby.”
“Seafood Curry with Lobster and Crab. Yummm. Chef Sonam always shows up and shows out! Laso has the best food in American Canyon... hands down! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I highly recommend that everyone go check this place out. You won't be disappointed.”
“Was I. Town for work and didn't want hotel coffee. Figured I'd give Gratitude a try. Excellent coffee. Rich...bold...but not to bold...perfect balance. Great staff too!!”
“I’ll give it 4.5 stars. It’s a chain sandwich spot. Bread was solid. Sandwich was good and hit the spot, but it’s not earth shattering. Staff was courteous. Come here for a solid sandwich. It feels very corporate-sandwich-shop-ish inside so I ate and left. I was wondering how this place earned 4.9 stars and found the note on the tables where they offer a free gift for a review. I am personally not a fan of that, so I wanted to share. Overall a solid chain sandwich spot.”
“Bruh... Literally the BEST Indian food I've had since I lived in LA. They are ON POINT Best Butter Chicken I have had in 15 years....best everything--including service--attention to detail. Everything chefs kiss Definitely will be going back....”
“I’m a big fan of low key spaces that dial it in. Chef Chew as well known as he is, is highly underrated. What he does with tofu is humbly masterful. While other places will rely on fake meats,he transforms a slab of tofu into a layers and pockets of flavor that get turned into one of the best vegan fried chickuns in the area and a vegan philly protein that is natural gluten free bc it’s basically just tofu and spices. The collards melt in your mouth but somehow don’t taste overcooked. And I think he changed his cheese sauce slightly bc it tastes even better since his reopening. Offering a vegan fried chickun and steak that isn’t made of processed ingredients is a subtle triumph that I don’t feel gets enough recognition. Vegan soul food done right. Much respect.”
“Our favorite place in Martinez! We love the food, cocktails, fabulous staff, and live music. You can feel the care that goes into everything they offer. Definitely get reservations because Roxx is popular with the locals and out-of-towners.”
“Cozy, mom&pop style Thai restaurant in downtown Vallejo. Went there for lunch with a couple of friends, its decorated nicely inside, and you can seat yourself if its not busy. Our waiter was friendly and slightly confused by one of my friends commenting on how much he liked the spiderman decoration in the men's restroom; if they had followed the same theme in the women's. He laughed and said no....they thought about Barbie or Hello Kitty...but decided to stay neutral. Getting to our food....I loved what I ordered which was the Thai basil chicken...the sauce was so flavorful, couldve used just a little more steamed rice to mop it up, but tasty none the less. Overall good experience.... Ciao for now”
“Stopped by randomly during a commute from SSF to Vallejo on a week day. A friendly gentleman was running the place. I ordered the traditional acai bowl which was $13 for a small size. It was different from other acai bowls I've had as it had condensed milk and powdered milk. I loved condensed milk and powdered milk as a kid - so my inner child was jumping for joy as I ate the entire thing. It was topped with fresh bananas and strawberries. Delicious. Would come back here to support this small business. Bathroom was clean too.”
“Love this place, great food, actually best Asian food in town ngl. Good prices for good portions. My personal favorite is the chicken katsu, pretty simple but always delicious.”
“Such a cool treasure! The location is a historical neighborhood with a view of San Pablo Bay and train line.Staff were fun, engaging and welcoming.Wish we had 3 more hours to take in all the tchotchkes and historical pieces. The Warehouse is a rare and special gem.”
