Yuno’s cafe restaurant & meal prep

Food is made with lots of love! Chef Yuno is passionate about making the best food in a very creative way. This is a must for breakfast! I can’t wait to come try lunch or dinner. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this place, so if you’re reading this, do yourself a favor and try it! Start with Chicken and waffles, then explore everything else! Food was spectacular and the service was amazing! My server always made sure my coffee was topped off and we had everything we needed. I love that kind of service! My next visit will be for lunch and I’m going to try a burger. Chef Yuno says I will not be disappointed!

Tucked away in the corner of a small center on Ventura Rd. and Hueneme Rd. is a secret little gem of a restaurant. The affable proprietor and chef, Yuno Balthazar, insists on offering generous portions of top quality ingredients at great prices. On our first visit for breakfast, my wife tried the chicken and homemade waffles while I had the French toast, with strawberries in a sweet cream sauce. Both our meals were delicious.

We returned a week or so later to sample his Italian-themed dinner menu. The hefty portion of chicken parmigiana served over pasta was tender and flavorful but not overly spicy or drenched in sauce. As an East-coast transplant from an Italian restaurant family, I can be picky but I was pleasantly surprised.

My wife loves a good burger so when a friend raved about Yuno’s, she insisted
we go for lunch. Served on a soft bun, with pickle, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese and the chef’s special sauce, the huge double patties of lean, top quality beef were cooked to a perfect medium rare. I had mine with a crisp house salad of lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber served with a zesty Italian pesto dressing. In addition to the wonderful food, the staff is friendly and professional. In only a few months, Yuno’s Cafe has become one of our favorite local restaurants.

Even back here twice in two days. Biscuit and hot honey chicken is awesome, the chicken katsu sandwich is top notch. Better than many Japanese owned places I have been. The Ube pancakes are also amazing!

Stopped by this new restaurant last week while I was working nearby and I'm glad I did! I had the Griddlecake Sandwich and it was great. The portion size was hefty and the tots that came with it was delish! Please try this fabulous new spot and support your local businesses!

This place is a hidden gem. The restaurant is clean and has a beachy atmosphere and a great playlist. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. I liked that the drinks had the small pellet ice AKA the best kind of ice. The service was fast and efficient.

Parking: There is a parking lot in the front entrance and the back entrance of the restaurant.

Kid-friendliness: There isn’t a kids menu but you could order the classic breakfast which is pancakes, fried eggs, and sausage.

Discovered this place while staying at the nearby hotel. The cobb salad with chipotle dressing was so good and unique they should give it a new name! The owner/chef was super friendly and gave me a complimentary piece of tiramisu, which was also excellently authentic.

This place fills a gap in quality lunch spots right outside the base!

Definitely a very chill vibe. Cool music, low key beach atmosphere. Very intimate breakfast spot in the cut. My new neighborhood spot without the loud conversations at some place. Service is great too!!!! Pancakes as a remember as a child hahaha
