My wife and I love Brigantine and have been coming here for years. This evening we decided to both order the shrimp stuffed with crabmeat wrapped with bacon with a veggie side. What could go wrong with that, eh? Well for starters, the shrimp was very much overcooked to the point of being rubbery. Second the entire assembly was so salty that it was not edible. We also ordered a side of calamari, which is usually extremely delicious. No exception this time, apparently the chefs know how to make delicious calamari. But overall, unfortunately the meal was not good. So next time we will stay away from the shrimp stuffed with crabmeat wrapped in bacon.

I ordered blacken halibut, one of my seafood favorites. It was so disappointing, not much of a taste and very overcooked. Extremely chewy, to the point it could considered tough by cooked fish standards. It came surrounded with cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon bits, leeks and onions, which did nothing to enhance the taste. I did not complain to our server, it's just not my style. Besides, we had a $15 discount birthday coupon. We also ordered shrimp cocktail and it was excellent. We were also served a complimentary mud pie, also excellent. The Brigantine is a very nice sit down restaurant, with a great and popular Happy Hour. Perhaps the chef had a lot going on that night.

Better places to eat. Slow service. Cold food. Lots of empty tables in the section and sat me in and odd table in the middle of the room. 3 out of 4 of us had cold or lukewarm food.

We had a lovely evening celebrating a birthday and retirement. Joel our server was very attentive. Our meal was delicious. The interior has been remodeled lends itself to comfortable ample seating. We visit again

Food and service both excellent. I had seared ahi with rice which was very good. Our server, Lillia (sp?) was very good and very pleasant. We ate on the patio which was nice , albeit a little noisy at times due to traffic outside, but we were still able to talk and be heard.

Had a reservation an hour before closing the service and food felt rushed. The vegetables seem undercooked a lacked flavor along with the potatoes. Overall, the experience was less than I would expect from a Brigantine's and also less than I would expect for any meal that would cost about $100 for two meals.

Eric was phenomenal from the moment we arrived to the end! He was very attentive and had a great sense of humor! In fact, the entire team was great!! Food was on point as well!! My family and I had a great time! Thank you Eric for making my 60th birthday memorable!

I started with the lavender sour which is like us French 25 but with lavender and it was amazing! My husband and I split the macadamia coconut shrimp and the addition of macadamia is such a great idea! Crispy delicious and the mango salsa was the ripe and a perfect accompaniment. I ordered the blackened Aji tuna on the brioche roll. It came with a huge amount of homemade chips as well as coleslaw and fresh slices of ripe avocado on top of the sandwich. It was definitely enough food for two people! Everything was flavorful and fresh! My husband had the fish and chips. Again an enormous portion! Very happy with the server she was so nice and accommodating. And we were able to watch the Yankees on one TV and the Phillies on another since we sat at a bar high top! We will definitely be back!

Some of us were disappointed with our entrees. The salmon with risotto, ahi entree, and the clam with tomato curry sauce were not good. We will not be returning anytime soon.

Service was outstanding, couldn't be better! I ordered crusted mahi mahi...that was fine, the couscous was undercooked, the side vegetables were practically raw. Husband ordered crab stuffed shrimp...it was extremely overcooked, dry and almost burnt. His side vegetables were raw too. A disappointing meal. There was only one other table (part of 7) dining at the same time besides us , so no excuse for the kitchen. This was not our first time here, much much better time before!! No quality control this time.

2 of us had salads and they were not very good. I only ate a very small portion of mine and it made me sick later. So for our 2 salads, very poor Would like some sort of compensation.

The food was subpar. But the food that sucked the server was able to remove. The server was polite, and not pushy.

Thankyou to the manager and the staff that acknowledged us even when we sat in the secluded side of the bar :)

The best service I’ve ever had in San Diego. They were very attentive, brought everything out when they could. And when we had a kids meal late they gave it to use for free. And it wasn’t even that late, it was AMAZING service. I wish I could call out our waitress by name she was legit the best. Anyways, what I am saying is ya gotta stop here.

I was on a business trip to Rancho Bernardo and stopped in for dinner. I sat at the hightop tables in the bar area. I ordered the Spa Day cocktail. It was wonderful! For dinner, I ordered the brussel sprouts and the ceviche (they don't call it ceviche, but that's essentially what it is.) Both dishes were absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend!!
