food was alwaya pretty good here…selection and service are good, the place is clean. but noticed the prices have gone up quite a bit, even just from a year ago (esp for the combo dishes).

I came for rolled tacos... my daughter and I shared the shredded beef rolled tacos with creamy guac (american guac) which were so good! We also ordered the chicken rolled tacos which ended up being ground beef and were not as good. But the shredded beef ones? Amazing. We had some left over and my husband ate them 2 hours later and remarked how good they were even cold. Salsa bar is on point. Their green salsa is so good that they sell it in jars at the register.

This little joint has been here for a very long time. And is always the same and really, really good. Great people, great food. Good, good, good, good good.
The food was very bad, the carne asada fries looked like plastic, the potatoes on the tacos were very hard and we didn't wait long to eat, we were 3 minutes away from the restaurant, very bad food, I do not recommend takeout.

Their menudo is god tier! The broth is flavorful, the tripe is tender, and it's has the perfect balance of meat, hominy, and broth!
I grew up in Poway and had not been here in 10+ years. The flautas were better than I remember, and the Pollo asado was great too. Cannot wait to come back!

Parking: It's a busy restaurant but they offer free parking.
They might just have the best rolled tacos in Poway. I also love their Horchata because it's not overly sweet. Plus you can call and order ahead to pick up.
