Booked this local restaurant for a company luncheon (2-4pm 20 people). Personally, I read reviews online (Google/Yelp/Facebook) prior to coming in since I had never been there.
I did observe that it was under new ownership, had some recently interior/exterior changes, and menu upgrades. Based on long time patronage of this restaurant there were mixed feelings about these changes. I get it, change it hard, but don't worry we can all over come and adapt with a burger and...read full review
The Not-so-Tots are great. Order them with no liquid cheese, only shredded cheese (unless you like liquid imitation cheese). The chili cheese dogs are pretty good too. The hamburgers, are pretty awful. Every time I have ordered one, the meat has been stale. That kind of almost rancid fat taste. I gave it 4 stars overall, because tater tot nachos? Doesn't get much better than that. Atmosphere is lacking, the tables are crowded together, and they're always busy, so service is so-so.
New owners took the good menu items away.

Hamburger Factory Family Restaurant offers a wide range of options, including the Nashville chicken sandwich, tots, and chips, as well as the Rubin sandwich with high-quality ingredients. The fish and chips portion may be small, but it's flavorful. The wild West theme adds a unique touch. The restaurant is kid-friendly, wheelchair accessible, and has plenty of parking.
The restaurant serves more than just burgers, with the tri-tip steak sandwich being a standout. The peppery arugula balances the rich aioli and complements the steak and grilled onions. The bun holds up well without being too big or dry.
The service is praised, with staff attentive to customers' needs and providing helpful recommendations. The atmosphere is described as interesting and cute, fitting in with the surrounding historical Old Poway railroad and buildings.
Customers have also enjoyed the breakfast menu, and the restaurant is noted as being kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible. The parking is convenient, with nearby street parking and a large free lot.
