Idego's my clear #1 pick for quality beans in the poway/rb area and the drinks are always great. The Mayan mocha isn't shy with the spice and it's addictive. It's a luxury to have super freshly-roasted beans so close to home -- the house Aurora blend is easy to brew a tasty cup with in my home pourover setup, and the rotating origins have been fun to mix it up.

I’ve been multiple times the service wasn’t bad atmosphere was good, but when I say I’ve never had a matcha more clumpy, having to mix and break up the clumps I just wouldn’t want to try again

The mayan mocha is excellent!
One of my all time favorite coffee places. The owner is very kind and we like to Homeschool here. There's a large world map on the wall as well. The coffee quality is yummy and they roast here.
To be honest, writing this review feels a bit difficult for some reason😀
Let me start by saying that we found this coffee shop through reviews on Google Maps. Of course, we looked at the ratings and photos, especially how the coffee is prepared — we pay close attention to how the drinks look, and whether they do latte art.
The main highlight that drew us in was the fact that they roast their own coffee beans on-site🥰However, when we arrived, the interior design felt very ordinary. Just a regular setup — some tables inside and some outside. Everything was okay.
One thing I really appreciated was that the barista asked whether I wanted my matcha latte sweetened or not👍 That’s important to me, since places often add syrup by default without noting it on the menu, and I personally don’t like sweet drinks.
As for the drinks themselves — they were just okay, honestly. I can’t give this place a full 5 stars. I’ve definitely had better matcha and coffee elsewhere, but what they serve here is still good — solid quality.
Again, the fact that they roast their own beans is a big plus.
As for the matcha latte specifically, it had a bit of a strange aftertaste. I’m not sure if it was the type of matcha or maybe the milk, though I doubt it was the milk. It was fine, but something felt slightly off.
Oh — and I almost forgot, we also got a chocolate croissant, which unfortunately seemed like it wasn’t fresh. that was a bit disappointing😕
I've been to a lot of coffee shops in foreign countries. I want to say that the coffee is smooth, the roast is not too dark, for which thanks, but the beans are not delightful.
The general interior, too, without delight. Please buy a normal menu, pasted papers do not look solid)
The croissant wasn't fresh.
And furniture do not fit the overall style of the institution.
In general, the institution is positive, I advise all locals to visit.
My advice to owners, keep an eye on filling the shelves with coffee.
People want to buy coffee at home, the shelves should be full of coffee beans, it will raise the total check.

Great local independent shop with great coffee, great service, and great prices for the quality.
Super small and cute café. Service was fast and the coffee was delicious.
The coffee was just OK. The service was quite interesting and the atmosphere was just mid. The price was good, but not going back.
Great coffee and service. I just wished they had some art, pictures and/or nice decore in the shop to make it even more inviting and cozy.
