The food here is so good. We got cabbage, green beans, fried pork buns, chicken and corn potstickers, chicken and shrimp potstickers, orange chicken Xiao long bao, beef chow mien, egg custard buns, and jasmine tea. I would recommend all of the above but I didn't like their veggie Xiao long bao. The service was excellent and we sat at the cutest table under the pagoda.

Best Chinese food in San Diego. Much better than most of the Chinese restaurants in Convoy. Their soup dumplings are as good as Din Tai Fung. Beef rolls, beef soup noodles, sweet and sour pork ribs are all really good. Highly recommend this place.

Food is amazing at this place just don't use their website to order. Call in the order or use grub hub. Their online system automatically adds 22% for gratuity. I don't mind tipping but for them to not give you the option to change and pick the gratuity yourself is criminal and dishonest.

I would rate the food but we didn’t even get to eat. We were so mad. There were like three or four groups ahead of us and they called someone who put their name in after I wrote my name…? This system you guys have is obviously not working. There was a family with kids waiting outside longer than that group. I said something but the guy deliberately ignored me….? I went in crossed my name out and will never come back! Waste of 30min. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!

Friendly staff.
Food quality went down. Sweet and sour pork spare ribs were very sweet, mostly fat and not much meat.
Very overpriced and inconsistent. $9 for a small portion of cucumber salad.
Just had stomach upset after eating.
Won't be going back.
Tried this Chinese Dumpling restaurant after someone had highly recommended it to us. I dined here for lunch and ordered their pork XiaoLongBao dumplings (8-pieces) $12.75 and their sautéed bok choy w/ garlic $14.55. Both dishes were brought to my table promptly and served fresh & hot. My table had soy sauce & hot chili oil for my dishes. Their ice water is citrus flavored and delicious! I loved XLB’s and while they’re very good, are somewhat expensive at almost $1.60/dumpling. Their sautéed bok choy was delicious but I saw a few bad discolored/damaged stalks included which I personally would’ve discarded when the kitchen plated the veggies. Nevertheless, it was tasty and I’d still order it again. Dining room was clean, presentable, and the wait staff checked on me enough where if I needed anything, it was often enough that I wouldn’t have had to get up from my table. NOTE: if your order is less than $20, you must pay cash or pay via Zelle. Also, they do NOT accept AMEX, which was a huge bummer for me since it’s our dining charge card of choice. The dining room wasn’t overly crowded for a Friday lunch rush, and atmosphere was just right. All in all, if you’re having trouble making reservations at your favorite Chinese dumpling restaurant in UTC, JFYD in Poway is a viable option, just leave your AMEX card at home…

RED FLAG!!! The food is so terrible and extremely salty. It's super difficult to swallow. We all agree that it's the worst Chinese food we have ever had!!!!

The pan-fried buns are delicious and highly recommended, the beef noodles are soft and tender but need a little more fishiness, and the crispy chicken is delicious but too spicy for children.
