Lupe's Cafe Mexican Restaurant

Burrito was mid in every way, outside not crispy, I guess it wasn't too thick either which is good. Inside though I'm eating but I can't taste the french fries nor the avacado / guac, nor was there any tomatoes in there and the carne asada wasn't flavorful. I was really hungry too.

Service guy was very nice. Atmosphere is nice too, your usual white collar workers all around from nearby businesses.

The beef taco is not as tasty as Roberto's but cheaper. The refried bean and rice are lukewarm.

Great food, friendly staff. The food is literally home cooked. I travel for work quite often and when I find a place that serves good Hispanic food I have to try it, eating at Lupe's made me think I was in my mother-in-law's kitchen! Make it a point to eat there!

Got two burritos. Not good. $25 dollars. Taco Bell would be better

The food is super good

First time here. I was not really hungry, but did want to try the food. Ordered the beef tacos, and wanted a diet coke..they were out of diet coke, so I settled for bottled water. The server offered me chips, and i said sure. They were rightfully of the fryer so they were crispy and hot.The special dip for chips was good also. I enjoyed my beef tacos. Plenty meat inside. They have red sauce and green sauce. In addition they have a hotter sauce on the counter.
I will need to come back when I am hungry for a carne Asada burrito.

Took my parents here for a weekend lunch and they loved it. The place was bright and welcoming, and the food was excellent. I had the grilled trout with lemon butter — fresh and perfectly cooked. My dad had the pork schnitzel and said it reminded him of his childhood. Definitely coming back as a family.

Chile relleno was good, but the quasedilla had barely any cheese and was very dry, my mom ended up throwing it away. I even specifically asked if the quesadilla had lots of cheese, and i was told yes. But there was so little cheese you couldnt taste, and barely see it.

I love Lupe’s restaurant, since it’s open sadly we moved to ga and I miss the whole family the food was is always fresh so we’re going back to San Diego and that’s one of my favorites rolls tacos with fresh guacamole, and the rest of the food is great too

I went to this place based on the 4.5 Star review rating. It ended up being a 1 star meal. The Tacos I ordered were almost flat and very small. The meat wasn't seasoned any the hot sauce is terrible. I will never go back to this place.

We love this place! Our daughter loves the rice and beans and Lupe’s taco cart was an absolute hit at our wedding 😋 Flavorful and fresh. Highly recommend!

Lupe's of Poway CA. Across from the Ford dealership on Poway road. It's clean... service was excellent. And the food has got to be the best I've ever eaten....
