Good food, service can be slow at times but the staff is friendly and if you wave someone over they are glad to help. Been going here for well over a decade as it changed ownership a few times. Now it is under new ownership again and the name changed to Mexican Bar and is not worth it. RIP Mexi-
OMG the best shredded beef tacos I've had in a while!! Most places these days when you order shredded beef its mostly onions tomato peppers very little meat. This please all meat and its so flavorful! Plus the rice was great and the carne asada flavorful! ( tortillas could be better) and the margaritas ae not as tasty as i remember. but over all probably one of the better Mexican spots in Poway. Very reasonably priced too!
Haven’t been back since working here but boy did I miss Thangs AMAZING ground beef tacos! He’s a great Boss but an even better Chef! He doesn’t skimp on quality and you cannot beat the price- ANYWHERE! So blessed to have found this gem of a restaurant!
