Recently, Nutmeg near my home closed, and they moved next to Costco in Poway. I tried their Capri panini, and my husband had the Loaded Italian. Both were disappointing—definitely not worth $15 each. The Capri wasn’t even changed to sourdough as I requested, and the Loaded Italian was barely filled. Also, the trash outside was overflowing. Not impressed.

Not too bad. Kinda miss the Addi’s Cafe that was here before. That place had some style. They removed all the original stuff Addi had and now it’s a bit plain. Almost too clean. Like they went for a minimalism look. Food is OK. Very similar to the other store they had on Scripps Poway Pkwy. Also, if you like, they have another location at the end of Poway Rd near I-15. That one is my fav

Cute little bakery/coffee shop in an industrial area of Poway. Nice outdoor and indoor seating options. Pastries looked good. Avocado toast was delicious. As was the breakfast sandwich. Didn't have an omelette but the one on the next table over looked really good.

First time here, café & Bakery spot, didn't know what to expect. I was pleasently surprised, atmosphere was great, we were greeted by wait staff as we entered.
Menu was way more extensive then I expected, we got panini sandwiches which were very good, Big Bad Wolf and The Capri.
I did not have any Pastries, but they looked delicious.
I will definitely be back for lunch, and I would also like to try breakfast.

Huge fan of nutmeg bakery and frequented their old location often. This new location is more convenient for us so really want it to do well. Nutmeg had the best quiche I've ever had but today it was definitely not that quiche. I hope the food goes back to being fresh not frozen as I'd really rather wait 30 minutes for a $16 quiche then get a heated up one in 5 minutes.

The positives that keep me coming back are unmatched baked goods (less options but still the same amazing taste), Delicious coffee, and of course your top notch customer service. Even though your lone server Maddie had a sudden influx of customers she was able to make drinks and communicate well to all of the patrons. It was very impressive and she was even able to remain polite and handle a schizophrenic Karen who started making up stories and yelling at Maddie before finally storming off. I don't wish those kind of atrocious customers on anyone and I definitely couldn't have held my tongue like she did in that interaction.

We'll be back to the new location soon and I hope the food will be better next time.

My husband and I have always loved Nutmeg over the years and tried this new location. We love the coffee, matcha, and bakery goods. However, we hope to see the food quality improve because the breakfast was not the same as the old location.

Staff interactions were excellent, thank you Maddie for your service this morning. We witnessed her handling a very intimidating and challenging customer as we were eating. Maddie kept her composure and set appropriate expectations to ensure the customers needs could be met. Great work!

We always love Nutmeg, and we will give the food another go provided the quality won’t continue to go down!

We went to check out the new Nutmeg location. We used to go to their Scripps Ranch location before they relocated to this new one on Danielson.

The decor is modern and clean inside with a small patio outside. The place is new and pretty empty at 10am on a Friday morning.

Ordered the chilaquiles and it was really disappointing. I do not recommend this dish at all. It's plain with a lot of melted cheese that started congealing into a big mass over the soggy tortilla chips as it cooled. And the refried bean is served separately as a side and looks very unappetizing. I ended up just scraping the cheese off and picking the tortilla chips out.
My friend liked her shashuka. The Nutmeg Scramble was also good too.

Service was good and we were checked on a couple of times while we were there.

Hit up the New Nutmeg on Danielson Street in Poway. I heard their Scripps location closed because the landlord raised the rent so high it was unaffordable for them to stay there. We were a large group so we were able to order a bunch of menu items. There was a line but its a very popular place so we were not surprised. We started with some espresso drinks, and agua frescas. We had the Hearty Bowl, Avocado Toast, and Amazing Burrito. Some in our group had the new Grandpa's Breakfast Bun with the egg and spam, and the Porky. They are very flexible with special orders including one in our group who is gluten sensitive. We finished, sharing their in-house baked pastries (they have gluten-free pastries); the warmed espresso scones and cinnamon buns (don't ever leave without having the "buns"). I work in the area so Nutmeg is now my go-to for breakfast before work, or lunch. Its also located nearby Costco and Home Depot, convenient for a weekend meal before or after my weekly Costco runs.

Good food and they also have some nice cappuccino cups for sale

Seems like a new location. Don’t expect it to be like the other locations. Great spot for all the workers in the area but menu is nothing like the others. Coffee is good and the workers are great.
