Excellent service and very good food. Enjoyed a beer and messy burger here with kids. They don't have toys for the kids but the area is open enough for them to explore but closed so little ones don't run off.

Came here friday night after Thanksgiving. Not busy. Very friendly bartender but after we sat there was zero service and had to get up and ask staff for spoon, xtra plate, bill etc. The guacamole was brown, I should have returned it. I ordered the tofu curry as I have high cholesterol. It was a giant bowl of rice, no veges and bland sauce. My husband's steak sandwich had gristle. We paid for another couple with beer so it was an expensive mistake.

I cannot believe I have overlooked this place for the last 5 years! The Hop Stop is nestled in the heart of Old Poway Village and just celebrated their milestone 5 year anniversary. I took the opportunity to visit recently and I’m so glad I did. I just love the indoor/outdoor vibe that is welcoming to dogs, groups, and private parties . I believe they feature live music on Saturdays. Such nice spacious environs to relax and enjoy their impressive selection of craft beers on tap. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and she was so nice and hospitable. The menu here has a fantastic selection of pub grub culinary delights. I look forward to trying many of them.
For my inaugural visit I ordered the “Smashburger” and it was outstanding! Made with a smashed beef patty with jalapeno & red onion, topped with pickles, bacon, garlic aioli and American cheese on a soft, tasty brioche bun. While the jalapeno and red onion were difficult to discern, that garlic aioli really sang through. The bacon was abundant throughout and had a nice well-done crispness and satisfying chew. I chose Tots for the side, and they were excellent! Hot, crispy, and fried well done, just how I like them. I will be back soon to try more things on the menu as well as test drive some new beers I’ve never had before. Highly recommended.

I decided fairly last minute (3.5 weeks ahead of time) to throw my mom a surprise birthday dinner with about 10-12 people. The only problem was that my budget was pretty small... and I wanted to pay for everyone, as I was asking a few people to fly in for it. I looked around for a place I could possibly go to, but everywhere I looked, they wanted in excess of $700, and that wasn't possible for me. Then I found the Hop Stop. Rebecca (the owner) reached back out to me and offered a space to be held for us at just the cost of the food. I was already sold, and then I took a look at the menu. If you're looking for a place to hold a birthday, a dinner, a... literally anything, you've found it. The owner here is fabulous, and the rest of the staff are just as amazing. The food is incredible (I highly recommend the Smashburger; it's delicious). Their outside set-up is perfect. The drinks are great. The prices are perfect. There's ample parking. Nice bathrooms. Honestly, what more could you want? I truly couldn't recommend this place more, and I'm trying to figure out an excuse to go back and do this again. There's a reason they have so many five star reviews.
This is such a great place to dine in! I love that its outside but has covered and I covered seating. Also pet friendly!! The food is killer! The burgers and fries are by far my favorite and they have the good ranch (you know what I am talking about 😉) I eat here with just my husband or with small and medium size groups of friends!

Outstanding neighborhood beer garden, we are local and it’s the best place to meet friends and family after a hard days work or play. It’s dog and kid friendly with super nice staff 👍🏼 Today we are toasting Ron G the nice fellow there with his dad who bought us a round for letting them get in line ahead of us so they could get on their way…🍺😎thanks buddy and we will gladly pay ya back later!
