“Tico’s quickly became my girlfriend and I’s favorite restaurant in the Marina/Monterey area. While visiting the area we ended up making it a mission to go nearly everyday. The food is delicious, from breakfast to lunch items it never disappoints. And the crème brûlée was incredible and we were heartbroken when on our last day in the area they were out! The staff here bring such a kind and wholesome atmosphere, the walls painted beautiful bright colors and flowers in glass vases on each table, the music played here was so good and just wrapped up the whole vibe so neatly. Thank you Ricardo and Sylvia for such excellent service and making us feel so welcomed!! As well as the cooks who I unfortunately didn’t get the name but wow you guys can cook! We will absolutely be returning here when we visit Monterey next!!!“

“Long time local resident, first time eating there. It's bigger on the inside than it look from out front. Great service, very polite and prompt. The chili beans are the best in the area. Best chili beans I have tasted in a long time. I hope it doesn't change from cook to cook. I just wish the serving size was a little larger for a family, especially with the large order we had. The Tri-tip was cooked just right. It had a good pink color. The ribs are big but be careful of the large tendons that come with their cut of pork ribs. Great taste, they were not dry. Nice amount of garlic bread with our order. Cole slaw was also tasty and they give you a large amount. While we were waiting we saw some burgers but did not try them. They looked really good. We will go back again. A little pricey but what restaurant food isn't nowadays.“

“We went to Stevies yesterday for a late lunch. I had heard a lot mostly good but some not so good so I didn't know what to expect. The restaurant was totally empty when we got there. I wasn't overly impressed with they decor but that's not why I was there. They have a fairly large menu that included both breakfast and dinner but not overwhelming. I chose the club sandwich with curly fries, my husband chose the chicken fried steak. I have to say that the fries were really good and crispy. The club sandwich was good. The bread was perfect. Bacon was good. The turkey was regular deli turkey. Maybe around Thanksgiving they'll cook turkey in-house. My husband said the chicken fried steak was good. I took a bite and it was ok but I've been searching for the perfect chicken fried steak since I left Texas. My overall summary is that Stevies is decent but I wouldn't expect foodies to appreciate it.“
