Wine Bars in Quincy, CA

Drunk Brush Bar • $$
438 Main St, Quincy

“This is a great little wine bar in a town that has very little to offer for wine lovers. From Main Street look for the beautiful old stone building. The Drunk brush is on the back side of this building.

The outside is a cute little courtyard, enclosed on 3 sides with an iron spiral staircase in the back. What I really love about this place is the wines they carry. They don't just carry California wines, they usually have something from Italy or France, both of which I love. But even their domestic wines are unique and I've learned of a couple of great stories the last two times I was there.

Often there is live music here, which people love. For me, I like the nights without music. That's when you get to meet the regulars and chat with the barkeep.

The hours are not posted online, but see my photo. The hand written hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 3 p.m. to close. Close can be 9, or it can be 11, depending on the night.

I almost forgot to mention: for you Barbarians, the Drunk Brush serves beer too, with quite a good selection.“
