I went with 3 friends and was in charge of flipping the chicken and veggies. It was a communal affair. We all contributed to the meal. I loved it!

Sometimes, a little thing in a restaurant will change the dining experience. I have enjoyed the food at Gangnam Ave many times before. I have to wait for a table for more than an hour a few times. I never get upset with their service. But I really have to say I got upset with the lady in charge of the seating. She may be the owner or has been working there for a long time. The restaurant was busy but not full when we were there. So we have a table ready for us in a minute after signing in. However, the lady led us to the table in front of the restroom, even though more tables were available. We requested another table at the farther end of the dining room, but she said it was unavailable. She can only move us to the table next to the one near the restroom. Okay! It is better than the one near the restroom. We take it. However, she turned around and assigned the table we had requested earlier to the party behind us, which had the same number of customers as we had in just a minute. So, we got a table in the middle of the busy dining room just because we came first. I don't know what's wrong of their table assignment procedure. But the result is that I can’t enjoy my food very well this time. Gangnam Ave is a busy restaurant that may not care about one customer. But you will turn your customers away if you keep doing crap like this!

Easily the best AYCE KBBQ in Sacramento. The meat quality is top tier, super fresh & well marinated. Everything feels super authentic, from the banchan to the grill experience. Highly recommend :)

I ate there a few days back with my family it was our very first korean bbq experience and it was delicious. I do recommend to dip your meats in the sauce or request some salt and pepper. Quality of the meat is amazing. Most definitely coming back with friends.
atmosphere was nice and our server was amazing (short little asian girl with dark long hair) assisted us and answered all our questions. She even helped us cook a few items!
it was just a little loud in there so I wouldn’t recommend it if your not a fan of loud places.

I've lived in Sacramento for a long time now and I can confidently say this is hands down the best Korean bbq spot in town. I always go for Course A. The prime steak, bone in galbi and beef belly are my go to favorites. The quality of meat is top tier and they cook up beautifully on the grill. Perfect balance of texture and flavor.
Even when the place is packed (trust me, it usually is), the service is fast and surprisingly efficient. I've never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes to be seated and the staff keeps it moving without making you feel rushed. The price is more than reasonable for what you get especially with this quality. Highly recommend this place if you're serious about KBBQ!
Tip- Bring cash for their $1 ice cream deal. Cheaper than KP and Costco.

Quality has gone down terribly. Has the management changed?
LA Kalbi tasted like it was seasoned with only soy sauce and sugar. Couldn't taste garlic/onion which should be part of the marinade. Bulgogi was stringy and full of fat. So much fat. The marinade for this was poor as well. The garlic baby octopus was as sweet as candy. WHY?? Garlic Shrimp had absolutely no seasoning. Lettuce Wrap: They served wilted lettuce! They no longer have an actual bbq grill. It is essentially a pan under which the fire does not get hot enough. You can't get the meat to sizzle. It cooks very slowly. Is this to have customers eat as little protein as possible in their 1 hour and 20 min time limit? Steamed egg was unpalatable, made with instant dashi and was way too salty. Garlic fries had no actual garlic on it.
Service: Our waitress was rude and had a permanent scowl on her face. She acted like she didn't want to be there. Hostess, however was courteous and friendly.
If you charge $41 per person, you gotta do better than this. I won't be going back.

Great Korean Restaurant! You cook the food right at your table. So fun! All you can eat. Everything was fresh and delicious. Great variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables. Also offers rice and other sides that dont need to be cooked. Service was very good. I had a great time. A++

Korean BBQ all you can eat. Everything is fresh but not many sauce to flavor. 40 bucks per person. Doesn't make sense if you have kids and seniors. Our party had 2 adults 2 seniors and 3 kids. The total came out to be 300 bucks including 18% tips automatically added.

It was a slow night. The staff were ok and the environment was nice. The food on the other hand was plain. I couldn’t believe how plain it is. There was no flavor. From the assorted meats to the side dishes they had no flavor. The only thing that tasted good was the marinated short ribs. They actually had some sort of different flavor. Even mixing the meat with kimchi or pickled cucumbers there was no flavor. Such a sad thing since the meat looked so good.

Food was tasty, but we were charged for items we didn't order including several alcoholic beverages. Also the fried rice we did order was never delivered to our table.

I think they only serve Korean’s. Being white, we were never seated. We found another Korean place who served us. It was great / And expensive!

I heard that this restaurant recently changed ownership, and since then, it has gained a reputation for being much tastier, so I decided to visit. I've been to about five well-known all-you-can-eat BBQ spots in the Sacramento area, and compared to those, I can confidently say that this place is the best.
They don't serve frozen meat here. The quality of the meat is tender with no unpleasant smell, and they use cuts that have just the right amount of fat and seasoning. The staff frequently change the grill and are attentive in taking orders. Not only is the meat delicious, but the side dishes and other menu items are also flavorful.
I've occasionally visited BBQ buffets in LA and New York, and this restaurant provides big-city-level buffet service that is just as good. I highly recommend it. It's very satisfying, especially for the price.
I've tried almost all the meat options, and while they were all good, I especially recommend the ribeye steak and brisket. Both are best enjoyed when not fully cooked, left slightly rare for the best flavor.
Vegetarian options: They offer traditional Korean dishes made primarily with vegetables, such as doenjang jjigae, kimchi jjigae, and naengmyeon.
However, meat may be added in some cases, so be sure to ask for it to be removed if needed. But since this is primarily a BBQ restaurant, if you strictly prefer vegetable-only dishes, this place may not be a recommendation.
Parking: It offers a very large parking lot connected to a major store market.
Kid-friendliness: Children under the age of 5 are admitted for free.
Covered water is provided for the kids.
