We always enjoy our visits to Rudy's. Their idea of providing an attractive menu including specials helps remind us of the value we receive.

Great food—really too much, but brought it home. We get to have prime rib another night! Attentive server. Lovely evening!

Rudy's: Classic Seafood Charm and Excellent Service Visiting from out-of-town, we chose Rudy's for a special birthday lunch and were thoroughly impressed. The menu offers great variety, and everything we tried was delicious. Highlights included the rich, flavorful Clam Chowder and the Seafood Salad Sandwich, which was perfectly served on wonderful grilled bread. The Cobb Salad was also a hit, and we finished things off with a memorable chocolate mousse. The service was exceptional. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and understood that we wanted a leisurely meal, ensuring we never felt rushed. The atmosphere contributes significantly to the experience; the decor is that of a classic, old-school seafood spot—think of Spenger's Seafood Grotto in Berkeley—giving it real character. With the added convenience of ample free parking, Rudy's is a gem we would definitely return to.

The drinks were thrown together and seemed watered down. The food was also very bland no distinct flavor. Service was good and a laidback ambiance.

First time here. Service was great. Food was delicious and good portions. Good value for the cost.

We have been here a couple of times in the last couple of months and both experiences have been great. The chowder is definitely the best in the Sac area. The lobster is to die for. Their steaks are cooked perfectly. I wish they’d spice up their veggie side a bit but it’s a very insignificant part of the dinner plate. Atmosphere is great. Perfect for any type of elevated event… date night, girls night, etc.

Last month 3 of us from out of town wanted to dine at Rudy's. I have been eating there since the early 80s when I lived in Sacramento. I have always loved the 16oz lobster, where the waiter removed the large lobster from the shell in front of us. To our dismay, we received a small lobster, about 5-6 oz. flattened like a pancake and served on top of a shell. I do not like to complain, but this was surely a small flat lobster tail, sold as a 14-16 oz. tail. I mentioned our disappointment to our waiter, but did not make a big deal of it. He was very nice and seemed a bit embarrassed. So, for $105. each, we received a small, flat lobster tail. We left him a $100. tip, as it was not his fault. I hope that ownership and management will address this. It was not a mistake

Great food I have a NY steak sandwich, while I didnt no expect it to be open faced it was still tasty never the less.
