25 years since we dined here. The cocktails were yummy. The food was even better. Chris was a great waiter. We will be returning soon.
Love this old-fashioned steak house. Food is excellent and service is very professional. The waiters are great like they were in the olden times and the bartenders know how to mix a fancy and tasty cocktail. I recommend this place to everyone who enjoys a good dining experience. It can be crowded on certain days and I would suggest reservations. Also, it isn't that large and there are some booths near the kitchen. It can be a little noisy by the kitchen, so I always request a table away from the kitchen. Great place to dine.
Open table's menu for Rudy's is not the same as the actual menu in the restaurant. The lobster dinners are a different size offerings and the prices are MUCH higher.
Although I have lived in the area for over 60 years, this was my first visit to Rudy's Hideaway. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, and our experience could not have been better. We were greeted by the owner and shown to a wonderful, private booth. Our server was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The lobster was fantastic as was the dessert. Rudy's Hideaway was a great surprise for a couple of new customers. Looking forward to our next visit.
Our waiter was Serio2, he was very kind and attentive, but he also gave us our space. We truly enjoyed our anniversary and look forward to our next visit. Thanks Rudy's!
My husband loved the prime rib, I had halibut. It was pretty bland and on the dry side. Service was great, but for the price, I would definitely not have the halibut again.
We had Prime Rib dinners in the Captains Room. Reese was our server and it was an amazing dinner. She always makes it a wonderful evening and the Prime Rib was superb.
My wife and I went to Rudy's for our 49th anniversary. We enjoyed wonderful margaritas, and then she ordered the big lobster, and I had prime rib and lobster. All the food was excellent, and my one inch thick prime rib was a perfect medium rare. We shared a delicious banana cream pie for dessert. The service was superb, and all in all, a very nice evening. We will definitely be back!
Went for Father's Day's dinner. Seated at a booth close to the left of the entrance. Low ceiling and walls very close to the booths gave a claustrophobic feeling. The waitress was very busy serving more than 4 tables. Took close to 30 min before our bread arrived. Waitress kept refilling the bread basket which we appreciated. Bread was piping hot and good. Soup and main course came out within 2 min of each other. Clam chowder was tasty with big clams. As for the main course, the filet was cooked well as ordered. The Icelandic salmon was surprisingly tasty, moist, and had a crunch on the upper surface. The asparagus that came with the dishes were of very good quality. The lobster ravioli was good but literally drowned in the cream sauce. Can't see the shrimp or tomato or cheese. Ambiance was good until a family with a toddler showed up at the next booth. The extremely high pitch scream was piercing and very frequent (every 30 seconds). Parents and grandparents not only didn't stop the scream but encouraged it. Waitress did nothing to help. We would have preferred to not be seated in the booths right along the wall by the entrance next time around. Felt very caged in. Overall we all agreed the salmon was very good. With soup included, the price is not overly high for a special occasion.
We had a midweek lunch date with friends. As usual everything was great! Kathy our server . was friendly and efficient. I had the Crab Louie, and my wife ordered two appetizers, Grilled Artichoke and Lobster Pot Stickers, all of which was excellent! Rudy's is a sure bet!

first time there today for a birthday with friends. I ordered the crab cakes, the were not good. They were not homemade, you can but what they served at a grocery store, sans the sauce and micro greens. very disappointed, was expecting an amazing lunch from all the reviews. The lobster ravioli my partner had was apparently good, but super small portion. Definitely not worth the money they charge. Also, one small cocktail and a coors (not cold, very limited beer choice) cost 18.95! Will not return.
Love this place. Cathy is the best waitress and makes it fun too! The food amazing and the ambiance is great too. It's like stepping into a different world. Love the captains room.
One of our favorite places to go for a special event! Quality is consistent over the years. Recommend lobster, clam chowder, salmon. The best asparagus I've ever had!
Always delicious food and friendly service. The filet and lobster were both tender and tasty.
Fantastic food. Large portions. We were able to enjoy our dinner and not feel rushed. Excellent service!
