The Caring Kitchen

The Caring Kitchen is such a great place to stop for a scrumptious treat - and they are going to open a second location at Madison and Main in Orangevale soon! Every single thing is so good but the frost’ems are my favorites.

I love this place! The beautiful pink aesthetic of the logo and decor is gorgeous and inviting. The Star Wars theme as well is super cool. Love that the owner is a fellow Star Wars geek! It's so nice to have a gluten free, vegan bakery locally that also has so many delicious treats so I don't have to travel to the Bay Area every time I want something special. Staff is friendly. Prices are higher than say, Mariposa Bakery in Oakland, but not at all unacceptable given the quality you're getting and the convenience of being local to Sacramento. Caring Kitchen now has a 2nd location opening in Orangevale (spring 2025) which is super exciting! My wife and I love shopping here. I highly recommend!

The Caring Kitchen is the BEST. The treats are all SO delicious; you can't go wrong with anything you pick here. I've tried an array of things and every single one/flavor has been super amazing. And what's more is that they are all gluten and dairy free (and most allergens free actually) makes it even more great esp when you have dietary restrictions or just want to avoid toxic contaminants in our food supply today. As most have prob experienced it's hard to get the same texture and flavor with things that are gluten and dairy free but The Caring Kitchen does it to perfection - no exaggeration. My husband who's a tough critic not only can't tell it's gluten or dairy free but he actually will devour it (and that's saying something lol!)

I also appreciate how much effort the owner puts into sourcing and preparation in order to make it safe for everyone who has to avoid the allergens.

It's been one of the best places in Sacramento and I can say the Caring Kitchen is the only place of its kind.

I do also love how she's always testing new flavors and baked goods frequently, just the cherry on top!

Love The Caring Kitchen

Was able to get a dessert gluten free and lower sugar. Many gluten free goodies are loaded with sugar. I have issues with both so it was nice to have an option. Would like more than one choice. Was $7 and was expecting price to be around $5 but guessing not as much volume as other dessert places so needs to be at this price to stay in business. Service provider was excellent, friendly and helpful.

Absolutely delicious gluten-free baked goods! Everything we've tried so far is amazing, and we've tried a lot! There is always new stuff to try, as well as familiar favorites.

I just moved from Chicago and was worried about finding good gluten free food in a smaller town and boy was I wrong. The Caring Kitchen is the BEST baked goods I have ever had period- and obviously the best gluten free baked goods I have ever had. If you are lucky enough to live in driving distance of the Caring Kitchen GO THERE!!!! Thank you so much Caring Kitchen for making food that I thought I would never get to taste again after having to go gluten free 10 years ago. Even if you do not have allergies there treats are AMAZING

This bakery is out of this world! I don’t have any allergies, but I appreciate how thoughtful and meticulous the owner is about the ingredients they use. Her desserts are incredible, prices are reasonable and everyone who works there is so kind! Run, don’t walk!!

Delicious!! I drove 30 minutes to get here for the first time on Valentine’s Day and it was packed (for good reason). My husband is vegan so I wanted to surprise him with some treats and these did NOT disappoint. The two women working the front worked as a cohesive team, one grabbing and packaging the goodies while the other rang up the order. I’m gluten free and let me tell you, some items look gluten free at other stores but not here! These all tasted and looked like “normal” baked goods. Actually better than the “normal” baked goods. Can’t wait for the new location!

AMAZING!!! I am absolutely amazed by everything I have tried at this bakery! I have never had any food allergies so never needed to eat vegan/gluten free options and love baked goods. I have a nursing baby with lots of food intolerances and needed to cut out all dairy, eggs and soy. I was so sad and convinced there was no way something lacking all typical ingredients would be very great. I was SO wrong!!! This bakery is amazing! Everything is always better than I would expect! Delaney is some sort of magician in the kitchen!!!

My son can’t have dairy or gluten. Having a bakery where he is free to choose whatever he want from the case has been such a gift. They have a good variety and the shop is so clean and inviting. I highly recommend this bakery for anyone with gluten or dairy allergies. Honestly, the food is so good, it’s a great treat even without allergies.
