I just had the best oven baked chicken of my life!! Yep, I said it. Oh my goodness gracious. It was juicy, super meaty and the flavor was perfection. Yes, it took a little longer than I expected but everything is made fresh and is definitely worth the wait for this quality! Let's get a little more accustomed to waiting for good quality food.I scarfed it down so there are no pics but I will definitely take some next time. I will also try some of the sides and different sauces. The fact that they got such a classic so right makes me think the rest will be just as delicious. Give them a try, you will be happy you did.

Overall conclusion: weak sauce. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but will have to do so here. We had two combo meals: one with crispy fried chicken and one with crispy yangnyum chicken. The food was average - I’ve had much better fried chicken than this. I found the chicken in my combo to be poor quality. There is no excuse for this as the restaurant is right next to the largest Korean market in Sacramento. Besides all this, it took over a half hour to get our food - 1 pm on a Monday. Sorry, but I won’t be back.

As far as Vons, I have tried Bonchon and Vons in multiple locations from the bay area and recently the Folsom location (closed). I was never impressed because they all served really greasy fried chicken, the kind that comes out with a layer of oil on the bottom of the plate and the flour coatings are just greasy as you bite into it. This Rancho Vons location was the complete opposite today. I was not only impressed but mainly surprised at how well their chicken turned out. It was not greasy looking at all and the coating was not too heavy or greasy. The chicken was cut perfectly to cooked properly and the chicken skin on each piece was cooked exceptionally well. I say they perfected their fried chicken here. Every bite was delicious and crispy and SO juicy. The chicken itself it's divine here. I was really skeptical about this place but my party really wanted to get some today, I was impressed and definitely it's by far my favorite Korean fried chicken location hands down. I don't give 5 stars but this will be the 1st for 2024! The location was clean, plenty of parking and staff was very nice also. Best fried chicken so far this year! Come get some!

Yesterday afternoon my hubby and I finally got to try the famous Vons Chicken everyone has been raving about for the first time! My hubby is from Korea and for us it's been a tradition to eat rice cakes on New Year's Day. When I called this location, not only were they open, but they offered outdoor dining, we bring our Goldendoodle Midnight everywhere with us! Rice Cake(Mild)~ Tteokbokki translates to "stir-fried rice cake," a traditional Korean side dish that's served on both New Year's and Dol, a celebration for baby's 100th day! The best I've ever had, they're very sweet and topped with delicious sesame seeds!!Mandoo(fried dumpling)~ I thought they had a nice crunch, but lacked flavor. Japchae~ In Korean Japchae means "mixed vegetables." These sweet potato noodles are one of my personal favorite, classic Korean side dishes! Von's was amazing!Boneless "SSAM"~ " In Korean ssam translates to "wrapped." In this case you use pickled radish to wrap your ingredients, at home we use lettuce! The chicken thighs are just absolutely incredibly flavorful and I loved the fresh veggies and yellow sauce it came with! The best food I've had this pregnancy!! Thank you Sanghoo P for taking your pregnant wifey out to lunch, you're the best hubby ever and I'm looking forward to returning with you to devour the rest of their menu!! I always love Vons chicken. The crust are always so crispy and the size of the chicken are always so big! Just disappointed that the location is not ideal and easy to miss. The staff are very kind and welcome!

I was in town for a few days to visit some family and came across Vons Chicken. Down in Orange County, I have a favorite go to spot for Korean Fried Chicken, I was never able to find a good spot in the 916 area. I will say that I absolutely enjoyed their garlic chicken, it was so different from anything I ever tried. I am coming back in December 2023 and I will be bringing my husband next time, he is a sauce guy and I think he will love this place. I believe the cashier was the owner, not too sure...I can say that he was so sweet and nice! :) Can't wait to come back and eat more garlic chicken! Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because I wasn't too keen on the Yang Nyum one. It didn't taste bad...I am not a very saucy person, however...If my husband enjoys it, I will change this review to a 5 star! :D

I only gave the atmosphere 4/5 stars because the place is small. HOWEVER, I'm a big dude, I love food, but I'm also picky, so I don't say this lightly. This is the best Chicken I have ever had in my life. The face I was making when I was downing the honey butter...wow! ? ? ? I also had the garlic chicken and it was phenomenal as well. I only posted the garlic chicken because I mowed down that Honey Butter chicken fast lol. The Kimchi rice was fantastic! The only knock on this place is you can't fit all the people you want to bring here inside lol. They do have outside seating as well. A+++ would recommend!
