We attended a function where Wallys provided the food. There were 4 options, 2 of which we ordered. Abysmal that both were inedible and no real foresight from the caterers. The caesar chicken wrap was soggy, floating in its own dressing. The sliders were also a soggy mess, drenched in the coleslaw sauce. We were on location from 5pm, until 10pm.
I would have expected more from Wallys.

It's been a few years since I have been back to Wally's Desert Turtle and I am glad to say it is one of the gems of restaurants in the desert.

Unbelievable that R Reviews would give this unique & magnificent restaurant 2stars. Some people can never be pleased. Their joy is found in being miserable or complaining. I hope people reading negative reviews will focus on the positive ones, as they are more accurate. I come from a generation where quality and excellence was the norm. The food, dessert & coffee - delicious, superb quality, & excellent flavors. The Chilean sea bass accompanied with a delectable sauce, kale, veggies, black rice was superb. Wally’s is iconic & classic, evoking yesteryear. The atmosphere - definitely a step back in time of elegance, genuine personalized service and attention, beautifully decorated with etched mirrors, soft lighting, white linens, waiters with crisp white shirts, black tie & vest. The overall dress attire is classy - rare these days. Tony B., a talented musician provided lovely soft background music. In essence our evening was memorable - the entire experience was extraordinary. Please never change. Thank you to the staff for making our evening unforgettable.

In an increasingly turbulent and fickle restaurant world where they come and go, it’s rare to find this caliber of hospitality and decadence that endures the test of decades. The reason is clear, currently the third generation of the same family passionately oversee and operate the establishment. You will likely find the owner there any given weekend, as did we. Each table is met with a team of efficient and doting attendants, in and out exactly when you need them and always nearby. The decor is truly timeless and opulent, an ode to the old Hollywood charm that must have once existed in these parts. Live jazz music persists. Dinner enchants. My wish is that nothing change here for future years.

Very limited menu all food was basically bland. Service was good but it was obviously what I call “Greek seating” which is give the “snow birds” the corner table which are the worst in the restaurant. We will not be back.

The place was beautiful, the drinks were good, musician was lovely the food was subpar and not worth the amount of money things were priced at.

Was able to attend a special wine dinner and all was exceptional. Great atmosphere, staff couldn't have been better and the food was fabulous. Thank you GM Blair!

LOVE this iconic restaurant!! Highly recommend it. The mushroom soup, shrimp cocktail, chocolate lava cake, I could go on and on!! Most importantly, NICK. We would go back for Nick. He was off the charts amazing. His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were perfect. His smile itself deserves a raise!!! The atmosphere, music and decor was a 10 plus! Bravo Wallys and NICK!!!

Not great. We had really high hopes and were excited to eat at Wally's. We did our research, since it was our first time in Palm Springs, the menu looked amazing and so did the restaurant. We are huge fans of Prine Rib and booked base on the Friday night Prime Rob Special. Only to find out after we were seated and ordered drinks that “the truck didn't make the prime rib delivery”. We decided to stay and give it a try.....big mistake. The servers acted very put out that we were there and seemed to have a hard time understanding our request to have our appetizers served as our entree. And then seemed very frustrated with us for their screw up. From that point on we couldn't get drinks refilled, plates cleared. In fact, we were never even offered a dessert menu and had a hard time getting out check. What we were hoping to be a memorable dinner in beautiful Palm Springs was extremely frustrating and memorable for all the wrong reasons. VERY DISAPPOINTED
great service. food was very good. timing was perfect. loud atmosphere. music was great. cocktails were tasty. no complaints other than price was pricey
Excellent quality old-style “Continental Cuisine.” Filet of sole meuniere, crabcakes, salads and chocolate soufflée all very good.
