Made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner for 6:45. Place was packed with no place to wait and barely any place to stand. We're not seated until an HOUR AFTER OUR RESERVATION TIME literally having to stand against the wall the entire time. During the entire wait none of the staff were able to provide us or anyone an expected wait time. Hard to believe a restaurant that's been around for quite awhile didn't have the resources or knowledge to prevent this from happening. Definitely felt like a money grab, take reservations from as many people as possible, it's Thhanksgiving, they don't have any options now and are stuck here. While the severs at our table were professional and very nice we probably will not visit this establishment again or recommend it to anyone
We had high hopes for Thanksgiving dinner as we dined at this restaurant many times but the experience was honestly awful ! The restaurant seemed overwhelmed and more interested in filling every seat than delivering quality meal . The food tasted rushed and uninspired . It was clear that the focus was on volume not hospitality or flavor . Extremely disappointing for a Holiday reservation ! Completely missed the mark !!! The one bright spot was the live entertainment by Tony B who brought warmth , energy and a holiday spirit to an otherwise disappointing meal
Seeking an upscale relaxed dining experience and was so disappointed. Instead of Wally's usual relaxing atmosphere there was a big crowd, no where to sit (we have disabled friends) and way too much noise. More like a crowded airport. Then seated next to the kitchen with people coming and going. We won't be back. Way too many people. I'll cook next year
Thanksgiving Turkey was terrible. Tasted like processed turkey - the type used in deli sandwiches but cut thick. Ugh!
Thank you for another beautiful Thanksgiving. Everything was outstanding—food, service, friendliness & ambiance. Looking forward to next year.
We spent our Thanksgiving afternoon at Wally's. A very pleasant and festive experience. Staff were very gracious and kind. The turkey dinner was ok. There was little if any stuffing on the plate which is a favorite of mine at Thanksgiving. They might have asked if you preferred white or dark meat since I left all of the dark meat which could have been replaced with my favorite stuffing. The salad and pumpkin desert were superb.
This is an awesome place . Workers are so polite and helpful. Entertain will keep bringing me back . He's awesome!
My son wanted to go to Wally's for a birthday dinner, because it's a desert icon. The cocktails were excellent—we had classic gin martinis and a Paper Plane. Service was slow at the start, and we finally asked a floor manager for menus. Then another waiter showed up as “part of your service.” But we weren't in a rush. The ambience was classic fancy, with live music. As to the food, the French onion soup is justly famous and wonderful. My son had the imported Dover sole as a birthday treat, at $75 market price, ouch. It was superb. Husband had the burger and fries, excellent. I had the roast chicken, nothing special and the potatoes were seriously undercooked. We had a delicious cherry cheesecake as a comped birthday dessert. A fun but expensive treat.
The Dover sole and crab cakes were excellent. First time endive salad a nice surprise. Very delicious
My wife and I have been wanting to go to Wallys for several years now. For our 21'st wedding anniversary, we decided it was time. I was NOT disappointed in our experience. From the time we arrived to the time we departed, we were pampered. We enjoyed the fact that they were not rushing us through the meal. They allowed us to enjoy every minute we were there. Drinks and appetizers..... OH MY they were awesome. My hat is off to the bartender; he truly was a master of his craft. We had multiple appetizers because my wife enjoys having them for her dinner. I did not find one that I did not enjoy. I am not a big fan of Tuna Tartare, but even I enjoyed it..... that is dangerous.... I had the Filet for my dinner. I always brag that the best steak in town comes of my grill. Today that changed. Without a doubt, they have the BEST in town.... bar none. The musician that night sounded like he was part of the Rat Pack. I honestly thought it was a recording. I can only use the term smooth as butter. Wally's is the real deal. Wally's is the entire package. If you are looking for the best of the best, then look no further. Here it is. My wife and I will be returning soon..... real soon.

The food is always excellent at Wally's. We had the best Salmon we have had anywhere in a very long time there yesterday evening. The service was a little slow, and sometimes I had to request the same item 2 or 3 times. Tony, the musician, provides a very nice, subtle background so that we can have a conversation without the music playing over us. This is one of our favorite restaurants in the desert.
So happy for another season at Wallys. Good was great; service was a bit slow but we enjoyed our time nonetheless.
Favorite restaurant in area. Another great dinner. Food, friendly & attentive service, live jazz all uniquely memorable. The Legacy signature cocktail was just fantastic! The mushroom soup is always great and is now newly topped with mushroom garnish. Endive salad very flavorful and really good. The new cauliflower tamarind vegetarian entree is best cauliflower entree have had. Hope Wally's continues to create and change excellent vegetarian entrees in future also for variety as this is much appreciated and important option on menu. Chocolate soufflé a definite must-it's so incredible!!! So grateful for Wally's!
Wally's is iconic! I grew up going to The Velvet Turtle & this is everything & more!! The servers, food, ambiance, everything was absolutely fabulous. Meeting the owner Madalyn was a treat and she is just as lovely as the place itself. Wally is proud!!
The Dover sole is the best ever, always a hit every time I have it. We also enjoyed the soufflé. The service is always exceptional and it's a very classic Palm Spring restaurant.
