I've been here a handful of times and each time the food flavor is consistently yummy. This last time we ordered tacos, I got both shredded beef and they were bomb. The crunchiness and freshness of the tortilla was unmatched to any other place I've been to, it tasted freshly made. The veggies were fresh which is always good. The salsa is a little spicy if you're not used to eating salsa with some added spice. It's definitely not mild either, so beware when ordering the free salsa if you aren't prepared to take the heat. It's no pico de gallo Their house chips are equally good, but need added salt if you like yours plan then they are perfect. A bonus with Maria's is that the chips and salsa are free of charge as a courtesy of the restaurant. Now, I love this because you don't see this too often now a days so it's nice to go to a Mexican restaurant and get that original welcoming feeling of warm chips and fresh salsa on the house. Didn't take a picture of the horchata, but I gotta say I do love it here. I'm very picky with horchata, I don't like mine thick or creamy and theirs is neither. It's tasty and has the perfect amount of horchata grain one would expect. Not overly milky either, just right for my taste buds. It goes well with the chips and salsa as mentioned it's a little spicy so a drink from this refreshing horchata makes it more palatable. Giving it 4 stars because during the lunch hour it got pretty busy and we had to ask for service on our chips and salsa a few times. My friend knows the owner so we always get a special green salsa served to us as well with meat chunks in it. Not sure what it's called, but it's served warm and is so good. That one isn't spicy, it's flavorful and a comfort salsa for sure. They typically have TVs on with soccer games, so the ambiance is medium noise level. People typically come in, eat and head out. Not like us, haha we linger and chat and then head out because this place is cozy and feels comfortable enough to do so. I only wish they had booths. If you're in town looking for a solid Mexican restaurant, I'd give this unassuming place a try. It's definitely way better than some other well known Mexican places in town. The owners are very sweet as well. Check it out!! I'll definitely keep coming back.

The Open sign is up when the restaurant is closed. I need to find parking in the little lot, walk over and CLOSED. It is so annoying.

I was pleasantly surprised with today's special it was very affordable it was a large Chile relleno, and a shredded beef taco with rice and beans, everything was prepared nice and fresh for $12.99. Hubby got the carne asada burrito with the rice and beans on the side, I think I got a better value than he did $17.99. Daily specials make this place very affordable. The restaurant's relatively quiet, and small seating area, maybe fit up to 50 people Max, they close early at 7:00 but this place has been here for years, and they hold it down real well, good quality food and great customer service served here.

Ordered via Grub Hub. I put on my order "no hot sauce". It came full of hot sauce. I called and was told to call Grub Hub after Maria's confirmed my order said no hot sauce. Are you kidding me?! Grub Hub delivers, they don't make the food. So here I am with no dinner and food so can't eat.

I placed a to go order specifically asking for a bean, rice and cheese burrito with guacamole and sour cream, paid $16 + tip to wait a 15 minutes and not get what I ordered. I specifically asked 3 times if the veggie burrito was beans, rice and cheese and I was assured it was but was not what I got which had no rice or beans but instead potatoes and zucchini which is NOT what I wanted at all. I guess i should have up cut into the burrito before I Ieft the place to make sure they got it right but I trusted. Lesson learned. Or rather they lost a customer
