Stopped by Peninsula Tap House recently and it ended up being a solid, easygoing visit. We mainly came in to grab a couple beers, but the food ended up being the bigger surprise. They’ve got a good selection of beers on tap — my favorite was the Mic-Czech Pilsner, clean and easy to drink. For food, we tried the Mahi Mahi Taco Plate, The Tap House Burger, The Ramsay Burger, and the Smash Fries. Everything was solid overall, but the Ramsay Burger and the Smash Fries were the clear standouts for me. The burger was rich and filling without being over the top, and the fries were crispy and addictive — definitely something I’d order again. Overall, a dependable neighborhood place I’d come back to when I’m in the area.

I would give the service negative starts if I could. The lady that was working the bar was terrible. It took me 30 minutes to order 2 drinks and 2 burgers and pay because she kept ignoring us, walking away, and checking the back, and then talking to other customers. Not to mention she got 1 of the burgers wrong and ignored me when I tried to correct her. On top of that, she then poured the wrong beer. I was ordering with a second person because we were a party of 4 and it was 2 checks. He was never able to order because she never came back and ignored us when we tried to call her over. I honestly think she might have been high on the job, no normal person would have acted the way she was. She also disappeared in the back for a while and was nowhere to be found when we went back inside to correct the order. Multiple other customers expressed frustration and some left because they were never able to order. The burgers were great, chef knows what they were doing. However I will never be going back because of how tainted our experience was. I believe her name was Christina, I don’t remember exactly but we were there yesterday on 12/21 around 2 pm.

I really like this place. A bit hard to get to but worth it. The atmosphere was really warm, friendly and inviting. Everyone I talked to were open and friendly. They only have beer and wine, but that's fine. I wanted to try some if the ciders but I was driving. I went there with my friend to support a karaoke DJ she knows and it was so much fun! I am looking forward to next time.

4.5/5 --- This place is a hidden treasure in a lot of ways. You'll find THE BEST CHICKEN WINGS within quite a few zip codes, plus other good food. The people who own the place are SUPER FRIENDLY. Shout out to Christina who is so sweet and just all around fabulous. And the venue mixes it up with awesome activities like live music and PAINT & SIP.

My main complaint is the atmosphere. Outside the weather can be nice, but more cushions on the chairs would be great. Inside . . . Look, I get it. It's a bar. So it doesn't have to be well lit, and the people who sit at the bar can be . . . colorful.

The thing is, the bar top is so sticky you feel like you need to wash your hands and arms after touching it. (I know they clean it regularly, but it really needs to be re-lacquered or re-sealed.)

As for some of the patrons . . . Even in the winter you have a lot of customers sitting outside in the cold because they'd rather do that than deal with certain groups who sit at the bar shouting loudly and cursing with every other breath.

I think in any establishment there should be some level of common courtesy, and maybe the staff at the bar needs to find a way to maintain that better so non-foul-mouthed folk feel better about coming inside.

Side note, on the opposite end of that, I've been to this place when adults bring screaming little kids to eat inside at the bar and they're chasing each other around playing tag and causing a scene, and the parents don't do anything to contain them.

I know in business you want to get every sale, but to maintain a good atmosphere that is welcoming to A LOT OF PEOPLE it is important to have ground rules and standards, like kids under a certain age can't eat in the bar area. Or management can politely but firmly tell patrons to rein in the foul language. I've heard staff try to do this in a more joking/teasing manner, but that doesn't get the point across. You can't be afraid to be serious when it comes to protecting the atmosphere of your business and making it as welcoming as possible to all sorts of customers, including new ones. That's my advice anyway.

Definitely come for the food and the friendly, amazing people who own the Tap House! Just eat outside and place that order as soon as possible so you don't have to be inside lol.

If you’re looking for a hang out spot with live music, you’re at the right place. They have live band plays in the weekend that makes it so fun!

I had:
1. Espresso martini
2. Pink cocktails
3. Draft beer
4. Tacos
5. Burger and fries

In case you need a place to imbibe this is not only a convenient place but also low key and they change their kegs frequently.

They have great beer and food but I wish I wasn't forced to listen to their band in my living room at the top of Hawthorne on a Saturday while stuck at home sick. How loud does it need to be if I can hear if from a mile+ away? Give us who live here a break already
