What a great place tucked away in the traders Joe parking lot at the bottom of Hawthorne in Palos Verdes. Nice place for lunch and also dinner.

Such nice people! And the food is classic Mexican fair that you can easily take out or eat in. I had the off menu Enchiladas, which were delicious, and the street corn and crispy tacos were amazing as well. Definitely will be coming back!

Went in the morning. Dude literally acted like he didnt want to be there and then he proceeded to scrape the bottom of the barrel for the steak. Maybe because I am white because whenever my Mexican girlfriend orders they give her great food. If you are white DO NOT COME HERE. They will give you unedible steak and a bad attitude. Never wasting my money here. SKIP

The food was seasoned very well. I got the chicken and steak with rice bowl. All of the ingredients were fresh. Very reasonable pricing. Super friendly service.

This place does everything we vegans can ask for from a restaurant that also serves meat. They have many, varied and creative options (including hibiscus, a yummy soyrizo/potato, and a tasty al pastor) to give us actual choices and they are sensitive to our needs. Too often we are made to feel like lesser than or an inconvenient obligation instead of what we should be made to feel like: valued customers. Tomatillo gets that and you can tell it right away. And yes, the food is delicious. Like an upscale/more authentic version of Chipotle, but with a cilantro rice and refried beans option that we can actually eat! But, more importantly, the family that runs this establishment does it the right way. From the heart and with all the little touches that separate a corporate entity from a unique, family-run restaurant. Please join me in rewarding that! It’s getting harder and harder to find and it really matters.
