Unfortunately one thing they lack is consistency, first time I went, everything fantastic, second time lower quality but still good, this last time absolutely awful, elote was was too sweet and salty totally different from previous visits, and rice wasn't cooked all the way, no one likes crunching through rice, steak was overcooked and again no one likes crunchy steak. Overall Tomatillos has become progressively more disappointing which is unfortunate because they proved they have potential.

Tomatillo is an excellent authentic Mexican restaurant that is very similar to Chipotle. All of the ingredients were very fresh, even at closing time. The staff was very friendly and willing to serve us despite closing in about 30 minutes. Especially for an area that doesn't have too many close by restaurant options in Palos Verdes, this is a great find!

Unfortunately Palos Verdes is limited to quality Mexican food, but if you want amazing food where you wouldn't expect it then I highly recommend this place. It is at the Shell gas station but the food is freshly made with quality everytime. Don't waste your moneybat Chipotle. This is 10X better than them in every way. The meat is seasoned and noy dry, they actually give you meat imstead of all lettuce, and the salsa is freshly made as is everything else. Oh and the price is UNBEATABLE
