Set in an interior that resembles a quintessential French home, the ambiance at Mille Fleur is uniquely charming. The food is both delicious and pricey, but you're there for the entire experience, aren't you? The bread with the garlic butter is great as is the escargot, steak frites (a little salty), and french onion soup. We also got a burrata salad that was flavorful and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, on the night we visited--a favorite spot of my parents--the service was unusually slow and inattentive, which was disappointing given how much I enjoyed the food and the price point. Lastly, make sure to visit the bar on your way out; it presents a stark contrast to the dining room's atmosphere, serving as a lively gathering place for an older, more boisterous crowd seeking companionship. It was quite a surprise.

Went here for a random date night and had a nice experience. Was impressed by the level of service. Interior is cute. The food was really good, particularly the main courses - we had the duck and the sea bass. My partners dessert, the strawberry charlotte, was great but I was a little underwhelmed with the chocolate marquis. The kumquat sauce that came with it was good but really overpowered the chocolate. Would come back.

Gosh everything is pretty solid here. Food service and ambiance are on point each time we go. It's pricey but you know that going in so it's fair.

You can always count on a delicious dinner at this place!! First time I ate here was approximately 10 yrs ago & I keep coming. Their soups have always been so good! Well balanced, nice consistency almost velvety. They have a dish for everyone. Their service is very good. I would only wish they have a wider variety in their wine list. It’s a pricey restaurant, but so worth it!

Great experience for an upscale dinner! Staff is very friendly, and knowledgeable about food, and wine. Even the chef came to the table and engaged into friendly ! conversation , actively looking for feedback to learn and to improve!

Great food and impeccable service. The best duck I've ever had. Wonderful rustic homemade bread, craft cocktails, and an excellent wine list. Dining here feels like dining in someone's home in France. This is one of our go-to restaurants for special occasions.

The traditional wienerschnitzel veal loin with lemon caper sauce and gratin dauphinois was fantastic!

Prix Fixe dinner for Valentines Day is understandable and the menu was varied and everything was delicious though a priced bit steep at $175pp with a 5% surcharge add on. Forget bringing your own wine with a $75 corkage. As expected, the restaurant was very busy and service was VERY slow. We enjoy Mille Fleur but will stick to non-holidays in the future.

An outstanding 5 course Valentine's dinner. Each course was very well prepared, interesting and delicious. Service was outstanding and flawless considering the very popular event.

This was one of the best meals I have had in years. Lobster salad and weiner schnitzel were OUTSTANDING. So was the apple strudel. Service excellent and friendly. Expensive, but not for the quality. This is a place I will definitely come back to anytime I'm in San Diego or Del Mar.

We were generally disappointed with the experience. The escargot were bland - we even put salt on them! My husband's salmon was good, my sea bass was mediocre. The bread and dessert (profiteroles) were very good. The waiter removed wine glasses before we were finished - (1 or 2 sips left...) For a $200+ lunch, we were not impressed.

I really enjoy this restaurant for dinner. This was our first time for brunch and we were very disappointed. The food took nearly an hour, and the restaurant was not busy. And when the food arrived it was nothing like the dinner food. The soup was tasteless and and the chicken lentil salad was just one dimensional with the chicken having a strange texture, not freshly grilled for sure. Will not be returning for brunch.
