Nick & G's is normally very good. We attended a special wine tasting evening. Unfortunately it felt scattered and unplanned. The food was mediocre. However the wine served was good.
Nick & G's wow what a gem!!! I want to take a moment to talk about the food but also the staff. Dona, the chef, is exceptionally talented! All the food he prepared for us was better than outstanding. The GM Phil brought the highest level of professionalism and charisma, and Nick and G's should be incredibly grateful to have him on their team. Marley, the bartender, is not only personable but also very creative & skilled with her craft! Jacob, our server, is a true class act in every way. His level of detail was amazing and should be commended! We our trusting Nick & G's to host a very important dinner my son and fiancé's upcoming Rehearsal Dinner the night before their wedding and have zero worries!!
Phil the manager always has a welcoming greeting and visits tables. Great prime rib dinner, delicious and wonderful portions, french onion soup was excellent. Sat on the patio, where it was summery and quiet.
Rancho Santa Fe favorite. Great patio dining and entertainment. Be sure and try the Calamari
Absolutely fantastic restaurant! We sat outside and enjoyed the evening of live music and beautiful weather! My spouse is gluten free and the menu can be nearly 100% accommodate to support any allergy. Wait staff was incredible! Fantastic recommendations and pairings! Diego did a phenomenal job! We will be visiting again!!!
Enjoyed a nice birthday dinner outside! Everything was perfect except the entertainment was a bit loud.😬
Fantastic dinner in Rancho Santa Fe. Best steak and seafood. Excellent service and great patio seating. Full cocktail menu
Recently went there for dinner- the outdoor patio was great and a portable heater was made available when it got chilly. Our server Diego was outstanding and he was very attentive to the concern one of our party had about gluten free food and preparation. Apparently one of the restaurants owners has Celiac and for individuals who have this issue, this restaraunt is very knowledgable and able to provide menue options that are gluten free.
With our friends we had a delightful Saturday evening on Nick & G's patio. Food and service were outstanding. My wife had the salmon topped with crab special while I enjoyed the fish and chips. Both were excellent. We really enjoy this restaurant.
We had dinner here with a large group of friends in the local Porsche club. Service was excellent. The food was very good and prepared perfectly. I'm sure everyone else had a good time too. We should be back again!

Attended a fun wine tasting event. Interesting French Rose wine, but the food that accompanied the wines was really mediocre. And while the wines were nice, they were quite expensive for wines from this region.
This was our second time at Nick & G's, which is an excellent restaurant. Server was excellent, and food was superb. We'll be back for sure!
It is nice to see Phil the old manager back at the helm running the show. He is very personable and attentive as was all the staff of a busy Saturday evening. Our waiter Alain was excellent and the food was perfect. A great evening!
We had a reservation for outside. They put a few tables away from the restaurant in the sidewalk in front of the antique store next door and we ate basically in the street. Zero ambiance, high prices. We have eaten here a number of times and it's ok, not outstanding, but prices are through the roof now. I had a chicken Parmesan which the menu says comes with broccoli and cauliflower. I had one microscopic piece of broccoli and that was it. The affogato is a complete waste of money. I understand that prices are through the roof now everywhere but at least I had hoped to be actually eating in the restaurant patio with the nice lights, the nice tables, and the ambiance afforded by dining around others. Definitely won't go back. If I want to eat in the sidewalk I am going to get street tacos and not pay $$$$ for a slab of friend chicken in a small mound of greasy pasta. Disappointing.
Excellent service and excellent food. Our waiter was very good at describing and recommending dishes.
