We love this place. It's our favorite local Mexican restaurant. The bean dip is really good. The halibut tacos are also great. The outdoor patio has a great view of the lake.

Went on 21st bday with my girlfriend. Absolutely amazing service. Mick was incredible, always checking in, making it feel like I was right at home. Food was also wonderful. Tasted fresh and great. Will come back again most definitely.

Service and drinks good but the food wasn't that good this time. We have been there so many times especially for celebrations. The rice was cold and really tasted like package rice. The prices are up but the portions are down. The chili rellano is my favorite but hardly no carnitas in it and enchilada so small.We took our mother in law there for lunch hoping it would be special.

Carmalitas is easily, the best, Mexican restaurant in South Orange County. The food is great, the service os splendid, and the atmosphere is a specially amazing when the sun is setting over lake Santa Margarita.

My favorite restaurant in all of RSM! Sitting lakeside with a tajin rimmed margarita and never ending chips & salsa/bean dip that my family can never get enough of, is my favorite way to spend a weekend afternoon/evening. All of the Margs are delicious and my favorite food recommendation is the Pollo Serrano, it's so good I order it almost every time I come. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough!

Great atmosphere, food, and drinks! If you sit on the patio you will have a great view of the lake and there's heaters if it's a chilly night! Blackberry margarita was 10/10!
Lake side, outside seating is a must. All entree choices are a hit...can't go wrong...and don't forget to order a cocktail or two, they are fantastic. The grilled pineapple is the bomb!

My husband and I went to Carmelitas last Thursday and just had the best time ever. The food and drinks were fantastic. Best Mexican food I've ever tasted, very high end! Service was unbelievable! Soooo attentive and respected our desire for a slow dining experience. Nellie was our server but many others also attended to us. This will be a regular dining place for us!
