Definitely our favorite restaurant. Food extremely fresh and staff amazingly friendly. We simply adore eating here for any reason. 10 out of 10 always. Small and reserved spot.

Was so excited to try this place because of the high yelp rating and friends told me they had heard it was pricey, but good. Unfortunately, I the food was not very good, it costs almost double the price of most sushi, and the service was not great. Maybe we just ordered wrong, but here's a breakdown of what we got: - Garlic Edamame: the garlic was barely cooked, almost raw. It also it tasted fishy and not very flavorful. - Crispy Spicy Tuna Roll: There wasn't any crunch which was supposed to be a crispy gyoza chips. Basically a normal spicy tuna roll. - Rainbow Roll: This was fine. - Salmon Nigiri: This was good. - Dragon Roll: It only had 2 small slices of avocado on it! 2! And we said something to our server and she told us we should've gotten the Caterpillar Roll, which has more avocado. - Complimentary White Chocolate Strawberry Slices: this was a cute touch. We got there at 7:45pm and we were betting rushed out by 8:30pm. I realize they close at 9pm, but it was a Friday, they weren't closing for 30 minutes. Our server kept clearing everything and we mentioned we wanted to stay and enjoy the rest of our drinks. She angrily cleared our water. Came back a couple of times and told us twice to put our credit card in the cup to pay. We were out by 8:45, 15 minutes before close, there were still others eating. No use being rushed like that. The best part of dining here was sitting out on the patio. Even though it was a cold night, they had plenty of heaters. You are paying for that nice ambiance. The cost of everything is double the price of most sushi places. I usually experience amazing hospitality at most sushi restaurants. Bummed this place didn't live up the hype! Maybe I just came on an off night?

I always recommend Yamame! The yaki soba and the rolls are amazing. The omakase menu is my personal favorite. The salmon belly and black cod sushi are my favorites. The presentation and quality of the omakase always impress me. The service is prompt and friendly and they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Thank you Yamame family!

One of the best sushi places in California - came right when they opened on Thursday. Had flounder nigiri and a roll I forgot the name of. Nigiri was one of the best I've ever had. They do it authentic and delicious!

We ended up getting the omakase box. Just the right amount for dinner. Came with 7 pieces of assorted nigiri along with tamago. The fish was just so fresh. Melted in your mouth. Absolutely premium cuts. My only gripe were the cut rolls. We paid for the upgrade from the regular box, which comes with spicy tuna and California rolls, to the omakase, which should have come with a chef's choice cut roll. Instead, we got home and noticed the mistake...bummer. Service was great. We ordered online and they were accommodating towards our requests. Located right next to the lake, cute little spot tucked away in the corner!

Cute, quaint location with a good selection focused on more sushi/sashimi style rather than rolls. My husband and I were a bit taken off guard by the pushiness of the front of the house but overall decent sushi. Nothing crazy to write home about

We did the Omakase and it was well worth the money. 3 plated sashimi and 12 pieces of nigiri. All was delicious and offered some types of fish I've never had before. Service great, great sake recommendation. Place is small but a great spot.

Best sushi ever!! Everything on their menu is delicious, refreshing and simply amazing. If you're debating on trying this place, stop debating and Go!! Treat yourself self to an amazing experience. The Kareshi roll alone is worth the visit. Staff is wonderful as well, obviously can't forget to mention them in this :) Very welcoming and comfortable ambiance.

It is a very small restaurant with about 4 tables inside, 6 tables outside and a small bar. Do make a reservation as they fill up quickly! We sat outside in February but it was fine because they have lots of heaters! You can also get a partial view of the lake from their patio. The service is prompt and friendly and food is delicious.Parking: Lots of free parking available in the plaza lot.

Rude/Condescending head chef. Japanese Uni was light brown and had to be discarded in a napkin. ‘Fresh’ (large) sea scallops had nice presentation yet were chewy and had rubbery edges. Only ate one. Many other options in RSM. Not worth it.

The food was great. One of the best. The service was very good. The waiters were attentive and friendly. Our favorite was the lollipop roll. At the end they made a beautiful ice cream plate for our 12 year old.
