Best plate of CHILE VERDE I’ve ever had!! The serving size is huge. The plate it’s served on is the size of 3 normal plates. The prices were unbelievably good. Enormous plate of chili Verde, rice, beans, tortillas, chips and salsa, all for $22. Almost all of the menu is very reasonably priced between $10 and $20. The service was incredible. I was seated immediately and order was taken 2 minutes after that. Food came out in less than 10 minutes, probably closer to 5. Chile Verde, rice, and beans all as good as I’ve ever had and much better than most. Tortillas come in a tortilla press that they may have just been made in. Chips and Salsa were incredibly good too. This place is only about a half mile east of the freeway. Located in a strip mall center with a huge parking lot. Thanks for doing it right, Carlito’s. I will stop to eat here for the rest of my life!

One of my favorite stops along the I5 traveling thru the area. The service is excellent and food is good. I especially enjoy the traditional Arroz con Pollo although this time it tasted more salty than usual.

Fantastic food. I had a spinach tamale that was fabulous. The tamale was the best tasting I've ever had, moist and perfect. The sauce was wonderful (could have used a bit more!). I wish I could get Mexican food like this in San Diego!

What a FANTASTIC dining experience. Not fancy by any means, but worth every red cent! One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time. Helpful staff. Quick and delicious food. Culturally rich atmosphere. Had a beer, cocktails, and dinner for 2 and a few a la carte favorites added. Spent just over $90. Left a large tip because they deserved it. It truly was wonderful!
