I have loved Chinese food for 50+ years but am shocked at the very poor quality from Maple Garden in Red Bluff. I threw the food away! I am only giving them 1 star because the 7-Up was good and plastic utensils were included in my Door Dash delivery. The Lemon Chicken consisted of flavorless deep fried pebbles of chicken scraps and Shrimp Teriyaki was thick dough fried shrimp in brown gravy loaded with pepper. I didn’t eat the egg rolls either because they were dripping in oil. My recommendation is to find a different restaurant to order food from if you are driving through Red Bluff and don’t eat here.

Edit June 2025: My generals chicken tasted like putrid fish sauce and ruined the whole box. It tasted like a rotting carcass on a hot summer day smells. Huge portions for cheap. And delicious. They use real good thigh meat in their sugar chicken dishes.

I’ve been coming here for a long time good food. The only thing I don’t like is when I watch them put the food together in the back a lot of the time the People assembling the plates are wiping their faces with their hands and arms, etc., which is very uncleanly then they are touching The food boxes I just don’t think it’s very cleanly, but we don’t know what goes on behind other restaurants doors I don’t think it’s normal. I do think they should wear masks and gloves. To keep from saliva and other foreign substances from falling into the food as I washed them and talked over, food boxes, etc.
We got doordash so I can't speak to the service or atmosphere but the food was so bland. I got the curry chicken, which is labeled spicy. It barely tasted like curry and had no spice whatsoever. None. Very disappointed. Veggies were fresh tho.

The food has no msg, the beef chow fun and the salty pepper shrimps are exactly what I expected. They gave us great portion with a lot of beef. The location is so convenient as it is next to the Tesla supercharger center at Red Bluff,CA

it's an okay restaurant there's no wait staff so to speak because you pick stuff out of a kind of buffet line. it's kind of dusty in the place and a little crowded from supplies in the hallway most of their food is good it used to be reasonably priced not so much anymore The one thing they have though that is absolutely disgusting are there egg rolls because when I buy an egg roll I want to taste cabbage I want to taste egg roll I don't want to taste about full of black pepper and that's what it tastes like but their vegetables are top notch they're chow mein is decent and their cream cheese wontons are pretty good other than that it's more or less a takeout joint with a couple of tables in there
