Lovely experience with the Cat's and the rooster šš. A few little chicks and feathered friends as I was driving away poped out. Amazing chocolate boxes and gift š trays.
Had to stop by while in the area and itās still the best place for chocolates and ice cream
Nice guy who makes the candy and owns it.
Pumpkland is a family tradition. We love the candy and treats, but the atmosphere is what I always come back for. I have been visiting Pumpkinland since I was a little girl and the family that owns it puts the same love and care into everything they do.
Worth the visit.
Handcrafted chocolate store with a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Delicious ice cream, and even better chocolates. Sean is a delight to talk to!
Canāt wait to come back and try more of what is available!

Amazing chocolates that are handcrafted nothing else quite like this place and this candy!
Driving south on Hwy 99 E toward Oroville, we passed a sign for Pumpkinland Chocolates. I made a mental note to stop by on our way backāand Iām glad we did. What a wonderful surprise along our trek! Even after having family in the Redding area for 45 years, I never knew this gem existed.
As soon as we stepped out of the truck, we were greeted by two friendly cats and even a rooster. Inside, the aroma was irresistibleāand the sight of so many chocolates was even better. Sean, the proprietor, welcomed us and shared the story of how it all began. Back in the 1970s, his family ran a pumpkin farm, and during the holiday season his father started selling chocolates made by a local chocolatier. When that candy maker passed away, Seanās dad decided to try making chocolate himselfāand he did.
Years later, Sean returned home, worked alongside his parents, and eventually took over the family business, becoming the man behind the chocolates today. Listening to his story made the stop even better.
Iām a lifelong chocolate lover, and having grown up in Belgium, Iāll admit Iām pretty picky. But I have to sayāPumpkinland Chocolates does not disappoint. The selection is fantastic, with artisan chocolates, plenty of choices, and even ice cream.
This is truly a must-stop spot for both travelers and locals. Friendly faces, a great story, and absolutely delicious chocolate. And, if you're so inclined, the cats will ask for the last of your melted ice cream. Their timing is impeccable.
Sweet spot & so worth the detour!
Delicious! Clchicolates and whenever we're driving through, we always stop and grab an ice cream, $3 for a massive ice cream is a great deal.
It's great honestly best ice cream and chocolate.
