Ikkyu is absolutely one of the best places for sushi. The Red Dragon roll and Green Dragon roll are highly recommended, but all the rolls are good. The White Dragon roll is a standout with a butter crunch on top. The Calamari salad is a must-order appetizer, and the Gyoza and deep fried Soft Shell Crab are cooked perfectly and delicious. The ramen is extremely authentic, with a great broth, and it even includes geoduck, a high-end Asian seafood. The ramen broth is so good that some finish every drop. The atmosphere is cozy and comforting, and the service is kind, quick, and exceptional. The chef puts heart into the meal, and the staff goes above and beyond. The drink selection is nice. The restaurant is packed with locals, always a good sign. Ikkyu is way above expectations, offering delicious sushi and ramen that surprises even those passing through. It is highly recommended for anyone in Red Bluff, Redding, or just passing through Anderson.
