Cattlemens Restaurants: Redding

It’s was alright. I guess I’m just a steak snob? Flavorless beef, slightly tough. If you are a steak snob, this is not the place to go. For some reason I had a high expectation for the price. It’s exactly what to expect from a chain restaurant.

Great staff, fast seating, fast drinks, plenty of follow up during and after eating. (On Sundays evening)

Hi Canadian here on our way back from Mexico to Canada . We looked at best steaks in Redding California and this place pop up ! Wow $85 US appetizer, 2 x 6 ounces tenderloin perfectly cook to our liking. Appetizer was 6 prawns and sauce , hot sourdough bread and salad entry and to finish deep fried apple pie with ice cream. Decent wines list with fair prices . Excellent service especially by Dion older gentleman . We will make a stop on our way down to Mexico! Best meal of our trip . ❤️❤️

One star for our server Candy and one star for the all you could eat bread which came out warm. There is value for money here if you get an entree as it comes with unlimited salad and bread as well as beans and a baked potato but at the cost of any seasoning. The decor and atmosphere are as bland as the food. For what we got, I feel we overpaid. There are better, less expensive, options in the area.

I was taken here for my birthday dinner and WOW it was absolutely amazing. I had the rack of lamb, it was served barely sheared, I asked for it medium done. The whole dish came back fresh, cooked to perfection, and delicious! I am looking forward to going back.

The food was delicious. I ordered the Western Cut prime rib. The sides aren't on the menu but it is a simple offering since the meat is the focus. Still delicious!

Or server did good at first, but then got too interested in taking to the table next to ours, then it took awhile to get any assistance.

The atmosphere is decent, a bit loud at times of course, but we could hold conversations just fine with out having to fight to be heard.

Huge parking lot, plenty of parking, but you may have to walk a small distance if it gets busy. There is designated handicapped parking as well.
