Service was great, food was bland and overpriced.
Excellent service with great food! A winning combination!
Best Wineshop in town. For over thirty years.
We loved everything about our dinner experience. The food was exceptional and the serve staff were friendly and engaging. I realize this is under new ownership and the ambiance will be improving as they go, but everything else was top shelf all the way.
They lost my ticket and I never received my dinner after waiting about 1hour 40 min. Our waiter was great though. It was a busy Valentine night and I understand that but to loose my food order I have never had that happen before.
Service was slow but it was Valentines day evening. Ordered the Valentines day special. Food was mediocre but expensive. Steak was not cooked as desired and was tough. Lobster was over cooked. The meal was for two but dividing it up was our job. Will not return.
The service was excellent. The steak perfect But, well, the mac and cheese was not great. Sent it back. Not sure what they put in it as seasoning but i make much better mac and cheese from scratch. The stroganoff was a disappointment too. Meat on the side not in the dish. Not the real thing. Had a lot of ? Seasoning on it. Not up our stsndards. Shrimp pasta was very good. Replaced mac and cheese with garlic green beans but not time to eat it as they seemed to want our table. Felt rushed to leave. Perhaps their chief should get the mac and cheese recipe from the Capitol Grill in D. C. Really good. So are their green beans. Should not compare I know. This was not my first time here. Been for lunch several times with no problems. Doubt if we would try dinner again. But our waitress was great.
I walked in looking for a selection of beverages to gift a couple whose tastes don't always intersect. The staff listened to what I needed, asked for my budget and made suggestions that resulted in a really exciting gift–and right on target with my budget. Easiest bad-ass present I ever purchased.
Boarded up & closed.
We have dined at Market Street many times. This evening, Friday, Dec. 6th was not a good experience. Service was slow and waitress attitude was not positive. There were 6 of us in our party. Our reservations were at 5pm. I had to physically go to find someone after a half an hour to get someone to take our order. I had notified staff we had tickets for the Cascade at 7pm. I had to ask again after a long delay in receiving our food. When it came the steak was tough and luke warm. One of our guests said her chicken was cold and the cheese topping had not even melted during the cooking process. Overall out of the 6 of us . . . no one was happy with their dinner.
Restaurantji Recommends
The food was not great. The descriptions did not match what you received. Beef stroganoff is noodles next to a steak. Half a chicken was two breast pieces. The Blue cheese crumbled was a very salty blue cheese sauce.
Another great evening at Market St. Steakhouse. It's always great when someone knows how to cook a Filet, whether you order rare or medium rare you will get it exactly how you order. The French Onion soup is spot on and I highly recommend you order it. Great ambience, good wine and value for money spent.
Great steakhouse in Redding CA. Very good food, nice atmosphere, great service and reasonable prices. Since the steaks were large, we asked to split the meal which they did for $12.
We went to celebrate a birthday. We had pulled up the menu from the website before we went. Looked good. The menu at the restaurant was completely different...prices higher and selection at a minimum. I ordered a drink and they had run our of the liquor I wanted. My dinner was inedible. They did credit back the cost of the meal and served a good dessert to our birthday celebrant. The service was good. The evening cost us over $200.00...party of 5 with one ordering just a salad and one ordering an appetizer. Way over our budget and not worth the meals we received. It was unfortunately a disappointing evening and we will not be back.
Our food was horrible! We never got our dinner salads at all. The rib eye was so salty I couldn't even eat it. The fettuccine was extremely greasy my wife didn't eat hers. About the only the we enjoyed for $120 was the dinner bread and water. We will never return
